My girlfriend makes fun of my muscles. Should I break up with her?

I am not even muscular. Don't get me wrong, I'm not skinny, I'm average. She always acts like I got big muscles and it starts to make me feel insecure. "Oh, look at your big muscles", then she starts to giggle. Is she trying to tell me something? Is she simply being immature? Why is she acting like this? Is it harmless joking? Am I overreacting or should I break up with her?

It's funny I read some of the other girls answers and some say it's just harmless teasing. I wonder how they would react if a the boyfriend kept joking how she has the body of a supermodel and it was making her feel like he is making fun of her.

Anyway. Ask her maybe it is harmless and she doesn't realize you are taking that she is making fun of you. Maybe not. When you get your answer you will know what to do.

I have never made jokes like that to my guy because I am afraid he would take it the way you are and I don't want him to feel that even if it isn't what I meant.

I don't think its wrong for her to say that she might be joking, it might offend you in a way because it makes insecure but in my opinion the only reason you should break up with her is if the love is not there anymore the rest of the stuff can be fix with communication, just let her know to not make comments like that or

Why are you that insecure about it? Maybe she's not joking and really does admire your muscles. Or it's just harmless joking. If you can't even laugh and joke around with the person you're in a relationship with then there's something wrong with that. You're overreacting. It's not that serious.

I would just have a talk with her about this and ask why she acts that way and tell her how it makes you feel when she does. She may be doing some playful teasing but you can tell her to dial it back or knock it off entirely if it bugs you that much. And if she still continues to do it, then kick her to the curb.

if she says it in a teasing way, she is probably just turned on by it. Even if you think you're not very muscular, it's probably still a lot more muscular than her and that's attractive. No reason to break up with someone

Talk to her about it, tell her how it makes you feel. My boyfriend teases me like that at times and I don't like it, and I do the same to him. You have to communicate it though
