When women call you handsome what dose that really mean?

I have been called cute and then sexy but what I always get is handsome, I was told that handsome is above sexy and cute but handsome seems so plain and it really doesn't have the same impact on me as the other words do, so I guess what I really want to know is from a woman's point of view what dose cute, sexy , and handsome mean and which one is better?

To be honest, "cute", "sexy", "hot","handsome", "swag"; they all mean about the same thing to me.

I call a guy different names depending on what he's comfortable with.

Some guys don't like being called "cute", so I call them sexy.

Some guys don't feel they're "hot" or "handsome", so I say they have "swag".

I call you what you can handle and/or want to be called.

It's all about the same to me.

They are all positive, they are all good.

It means I think you're a real gentleman basically. You have everything - good looks, you're sexy, fun, great personality, all around good person (ie not a douchebag). All of that.

i don't flat out call a guy cute/sexy/hot, I usually think of it more like girls say that when they are talking about a guy they would sleep with, but when I or other girls call a handsome it usually means they really think he is attractive and would want to be in a relationship with him, if that makes sense...hope that helps :)

to me, handsome is the ultimate compliment (based on physical appearance) that you can give a guy. sexy, cute...all that stuff can apply to girls as well. but handsome is like... you are one good-looking MAN. lol

Handsome is a gentleman, you're a man. I think it's a better compliment that cute or sexy. handsome men are the type of men women want to marry.
