Boyfriend has ignored me for 2 weeks. Is this his way of breaking up with me?

Here is my dilemma. We have been dating for 6 months and after my boyfriends birthday he started to act differently.He started to become distant and wouldn't talk to me for days. He spends most of his time on social networking sites like Facebook Twitter and Instagram.I recently found out that he had 2 Facebook and 2 Instagram pages.

1 Instagram and one Facebook page had stuff about our relationship his family and friends. The another Facebook and Instagram had nothing about a relationship.

There was this one female that was liking and favoriting all his status and pictures.I asked him who was she a he said she was a friend. And then I asked him did he have sex with her. I asked because he was distant and short with me and plus I have trust issues from previous relationships. He also had sex with two females he was talking to through the social sites. Guys that I dealt with in the past were on the social networking sites and was doing stuff with the females on there while with me.

He got mad and defensive and said that I was accusing him if cheating. I just asked and he said no he wasnt. And ever since then its been rocky.

He sent me a text on tues 2weeks ago and I thought that everything was fine but I have not heard from him in over 2 weeks. I called and text him once just to see if he was alright. No reply. Is this his way of breaking up with me by ignoring me?

I wouldn't assume it's his way of breaking up. It's his way of saying he wants a break though.

If you are really concerned, just say, are we broken up now? Short and sweet.

However. Play his game. Ignore him. Instead of being petty, like he is, use this time to focus on you. Write down a list of things you're uncomfortable with, eg, your trust issues, social networking sites, etc and just write everything down on a piece of paper. This is the problem, this is how I'm gonna try and fix it. By doing this, if he turns around and gets defensive with you, you are within rights to say "I was told you weren't speaking to me because of my issues, so I thought it was about time I fixed them"

Social networking sites can be amazing, they can also be incredible at making you worry and obsessive! Ask a close friend to change your passwords so you can't get in for a bit. This will give you time to cool off, not be able to see what he's up to, not check up on him. It will make you seem a more stable person, and for the short time, help your jealousy issues. I did this, and it did me a world of good. It also made my ex worry there was something wrong, because he didn't see any updates from me for over a month and was worried something had happened to me.

If anything important is posted, ask your friend to tell you. Otherwise, no.

I'd like to mention, it's completely OK you have these issues, he should respect them. However, if you don't trust him, either you need to fix why you don't, or you should think about whether you should be in a relationship with him. From his viewpoint, he may be fed up you don't trust him. Don't feel guilty for having baggage, everyone does.

My guess is that your boyfriend is trying to find a reason to break up with you. Probably he partly hopes that the breakup will come from you because it will save him from any inconvenience. Whatever the reason is, it is totally unacceptable to ignore a girlfriend for weeks without explaining anything. plus all the sulky attitudes. If I were you I'd ask what he's up to and get ready to move on without him.

By the way, once I had a boyfriend who behaved that way. He ignored me for weeks, didn't reply to my messages, and when I played his game (ignoring him too) he broke up with me, reasoning that "he didn't think I was interested in him anymore, otherwise I would have made efforts to stay close". so, yeah... sometimes it happens.

I tried. He said he still loves me and that we are in this together forever blah blah. And he is still ignoring me as we speak. It seems like the smoking, drinking, and partying is more important to him. He is 28 years old and he is too old for this mess. He is playing games and I do not have time for that mess. The way I see it, he basically broke up with me the cowardly way. I would have respected him more if he would have just said that he needed a break or he wanted to breakup with me.

This seems to be a trend among guys lately...mine is doing the same thing. So I've just assumed we're broken up and now I'm single. On the plus side I can feel free to date/talk to other guys. Move on girl, he's a coward and you don't want to have to deal with that for the rest of your life anyway.

It could be. Having distance is a way to make it easier on him. Trust issues can actually make relationships very hard for you later in life. Because guys will think you're trying to be too controling of them, and like even if they are hanging with friends, you'll have them under the gun. GL on everything.

He knows that I have trust issues because of past relationships and experiences and I told him that I was working on that and to have faith and trust in me so that we will be able to move forward. After he said no he was not doing anything, the only thing that I could do was to trust him. he has not done anything for me not to trust him. I just asked him that one question. I guess he did not want to hear all of that. But I do not know. I really want to make it work but I don't see that happening.

In the beginning, it was not like this. We would call and text each other all the time and whenever we had time to see each other we would. Right after I asked about the female and how she was liking all of his stuff and he was doing the same thing, he set the pages that I were not on to private. But it was good in the beginning.

Two weeks!? I'd assume we were broken up. Not just on his end, but if a guy I was dating ignored me for 2 weeks, *I* would break up with him in my own head. He'll try to contact you eventually, but he shouldn't be able to get a hold of you at that point. He's acting childish and disrespectful.

this is very rude and disrespectful and the fact that he got so defensive and is now ignoring you is probably a big red flag..i would suspect he is cheating on you and try to move on,a real man won't keep you guessing

He can add followers and like and fave stuff on his phone cause he don't have a computer but can't pick up the phone to call or text to let me know that he is OK. One of his friends that is a female was like she was with him the other day and he said that we still together but I have issues I need to deal with. I want to believe that but I don't kno. I trying to move on. It is hard, but I am trying. I have to stay away from social websites for a while.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. I wouldn't trust him at this point. And I wouldn't even think about it being his way of breaking up but more I care more about myself than to put up with this bullsh*t. You deserve someone who isn't up to these games. Cut him lose and don't look back. The feelings over time will subside. Even if you love him someone who loves you back would never ever do this to you. Not even for a second. Good Luck!

Well... I had a simmilar situation. Had profiles on all social sites and 2 FB profiles (for which I knew). I dumped him. Don't think about him. He is a player! If he does it on FB he will do it in real life sooner or later.

I tried that by calling and texting but there was not reply. So I take it as he has nothing to do with me. I have to suck it up as a loss. If he wants me he knows where to find me but I probably will not be there if he does try to come around.
