25 and no boyfriend since birth? Should I be worried?

I am 25 years old and had never been in a relationship and by relationship I mean I never had a boyfriend. Actually, it was never an issue, until everyone I know made it an issue, and to be honest now, that I think of it I am getting kind of worried. I mean should I be worried?

If you are thinking why think of this now, because unlike some girls I wanted be on top of my game, career wise I want to be the best and now, I am slowing making my way to the top and when I asked my girl friends they said I might be too intimidating, I don't even want to ask my guy friends cause it would be too embarrassing since my closest friends are guys and they would laughed their asses off, if I started talking like this so here I am, asking you guys. Am I doing something wrong? I do considered myself attractive but no one seem to be brave enough to ask me out or something. I mean, If one guys takes the time to actually talk to me, he would see how easy it is to be with me.

So there, what do you guys think.

i am 23 and am kinda in the same boat as you are...i just graduated college tho but haven't had one boyfriend yet. and I think that as long as YOU are happy with YOUR life then nothing else should matter, as long as you are happy. if you think it is time that you would like to have a man in your life then id start going out more with your friends wherever/whenever you can (I am trying to do this more myself). And with it being summer it is the best time with so much to do outside like going to maybe a few fairs, festivals, amusement parks, swimming @ the beach/lake/public pool, whatever you can think of. When a friend calls you and says oh I wanted to do this you want to go? as long as your comfortable with it and its not illegal/anything like that do it! it just may be fun and who knows who might be there. good luck! hopefully your & my luck will turn around in this department soon!

It's great that you're putting your career first. Trust me, it's a good thing. You know, many people do get into relationships before the age of 25, but a lot of them actually marry later in their years, like AFTER 25. Your friends maybe teasing you now, but if you're on top of your game and happy without a relationship, who are they to push you around? They may be just the type of friends who like to joke around so join in with them and laugh it off.

What many people don't realize is that they don't need to have a relationship right away to be happy. I've seen that with a lot of people. Just focus on yourself, which will make you happy and independent, and guys who like and accept you will come. Besides, they did say guys prefer girls who respect themselves and aren't too dependent on them. Focusing on your job and yourself is not THAT intimidating!

I feel you, I'm already 25 and never been in a relationship. It was never an issue to me until one day most of my friends and some people (same age) I know are getting engaged, married. I know mr. right will come along in God's perfect time. I don't want to sound desperate but most of the time I feel lonely and envious. 😕 Makes me think everyday if what is going on with my life. I am 30 and single. I mean sure. I have had relationships, flings and whatnot. I was worried but when the time comes then it will come.

And not to be explicit but You'll have kids before you become unfertile.

Just stay social, improve yourself, your goals and hobbies for the better. DO it for you.

Work on your foundation before you build your other successes so you can be content!

First, this isn't all so unusual when someone puts their career first.

I know several 30 year old + women who've never been involved in any relationship since high school, escept for flings with their boss or senior, moneyed people at their work, strictly for fun (for the older guy, not for her.)

I think most of your colleagues assume you're only interested in climbing the ladder, so they avoid involvement with you that they assume you would soon terminate since it would likely slow your climb to be with one of your colleagues.

They all probably assume you're sleeping with the upper echelon management.

You're making the same basic mistake all girls make. Assuming that if you look right and act right, some guy will come along and ask you out.

That's not how it works, and it's a shame you're only finding this out now.

Get out there and meet people. And when you find someone you like the look of, you flirt with them. Even if you're the sort of girl who insists that the guy must do the asking out, and you're too scared to ever do any asking yourself... that's fine. But you'll get nowhere ever, unless you learn how to flirt with a guy.

I gotta a disagree.. she doesn't need to flirt too much with a guy. Heck if a girl was interested in me and sat next to me and we talked.. I'd be feeling great. I don't need her to be touchy or be flirty. She can throw in a funny joke and I'm great, and it lets me jump in the convo too.

All I would say is she should talk to guys or approach a few if guys think she is intimidating. I have found some career girls intimidating only because they act like they have a career and want more in aguy

I think some "good" guys are generally shy or nervous at asking girls out. I never used too, but lately I approach more women now rather than wait for them to approach me.

Do you smile at guys you like? Maybe you seem not as friendly in terms of 1st glance. I've seen it happen, a girl I like just doesn't smile at me. So I assume she is rude or just not intersted. But if she smiled at me and I'd smile back. Well then I know she is friendly and/or possibly interested to talk. So I might then approach her to talk.

I've been in cases where I thought the girl seemed rude. But after talking to her I realized she was super sweet and nice.

I know my friend just approaches any girl he likes. He doesn't care if she "seems" rude or not. He has a way to make everyone laugh.

I suppose what they are saying is you might not have any dating experience. So it may seem harder later on to know what you want in the dating world. eg. how to tell an assole guy vs. a nice guy. And trust me.. many girls lose logic and choose the assole and then learn the hard way.

There are a lot of decent answers here so I'll just focus on one thing that stuck out to me in your explanation. If you are afraid to ask your "close" guy friends because they would laugh at you, then they aren't very close friends to you at all. If you think you have a guy friend that you respect and let him know you have a serious question for him and need advice, he will listen and try to help you. If he laughs and makes you feel small about it then he's not your friend.
