My boyfriend says he doesn't check out other girls...

my boyfriend is very trustworthy and sensitive to what I do with people.. and is very much in love with me.. however he said he doesn't check out any girls what so ever.. is this true? does he reallly mean it?

Okay, I'm not sure how long ago you posted this but I want to add my female opinion. I've been on both ends-- I've dated men that stop holding my hand around other attractive women, and my current boyf, who says he's not attracted to other women, at all. In fact he claims he's hardly had sexual attraction to anyone before we met. Under normal circumstances, I would not have believed him. But then I saw he was telling the truth... He has extreme sexual control because of personal beliefs (doesn't ever do porn or masturbate, thinks it disrespectful and kills love). That wasn't quite enough for me so, I payed close attention to his behavior for a good week. He never, once, has 'checked out' a girl that I have seen, still to this day (we've been dating for a year now). Sometimes, skimpy girls would be around, us talking to them, and I'd hug him to see if he was hard. Never. Even with girls in booty shorts and sports bras. Never looked at them inappropriately. It got to the point that I started to question his sexuality... But he looses it when it comes to me. He has no issue getting hard and doesn't lose his erection in our sex life, no issue getting into it, so that made me stop questioning his sexuality. I questioned sex drive but, we do some form almost every day, at least 3-4 times a week so its not that. Also, if I ask him if he thinks one of my friends is pretty, he will be honest, "she is pretty gorgeous, honestly" (he always adds "but not as gorgeous as you") or "I don't think so because _____" so he is capable of recognizing attractiveness.
I think I should add that he's very respectful by nature as that might be part of it... He would consider me checking out another man hurtful, and practices what he wants from me.
I will also add, I'm only sexually attracted to him as well, I don't check out other men. But I guess that's sorta normal for a female.
I've come to the conclusion that it's just who he is. Some men are cheaters, some 'browse the menu but don't order', and some just want their girl.

When I have fallen in love with a woman I don't check out any other women. My guy friends all beat me up about it. But I am very focused on my real life around me. I don't fantasize about celebs. I want a real person from my real life and when I am in a relationship I focus my checking out on my woman. I will see other women and can still judge if they are attractive or not, that is only human, but I don't do any checking out. Checking out to me is taking time to watch a woman to evaluate her physical behavior and see how she carries herself if she is interacting with others.

I have had gfs that can't handle that. They wanted to know that I am still looking around for some reason. One girlfriend told me that she felt that since I didn't check out other girls, it made her feel like I just settled for her. This somehow translated to her not being as good as the other girls around or that I was a boring punk. I tend to think they have some insecurity issue about their attractive abilities. Almost that she wanted to have to attract me over and over and over and over again. Always fighting for my attention against all the "others" and winning it after each battle. She always wants me to judge her worth compared to others. I don't know why she would not be happy having my attention, which naturally rises and falls, rather than only enjoying the fighting for it. I asked why she couldn't not be happy that the battle for my attention wasn't even possible because her attractivenes was so great to me that the others didn't even get noticed. Didn't matter to her.

Yes don't believe the HYPE. Some men can focus on one woman.

Honestly, I couldn't finish that read. My simple thought was that we are only human and guys. You say that checking out is taking the time to evaluate... bruh... for girls... checking out is maintain eye contact in the direction of another woman for longer than 1.5 seconds.

Unless he's legally blind, he probably does check out other girls he sees in everyday life. But there's a big difference between checking him a girl out for a brief moment, and going over to flirt with her or make a move. But if he's in love with you and trustworthy, then you should be fine.

Well that is not true. Every guy checks out other girls even when he is dating somebody. He probably did say that to you to make you feel better or to keep you from getting overly jealous. It's just the way we are. Now there is a difference though. I will admire other girls but I won't be standing there with my mouth open drooling. So don't be too worried about it.

ok the best I can do is answer for myself, most likely he is telling the truth. he will definitely look at other women though. not to check them out but because its male biology, we cannot not notice another female, although he will most likely always think of you as number 1

I don't know your boyfriend so I can say anything. But, talking from my personal experience, when I am madly in love with a girl, even though I notice the existence of other girls, they got nothing on MY GIRL! So, practically, other girls are just men in funny looking clothing
