I love apple pies, burgers and fries. But then again I could fall in love with more American food but it's just that I haven't been able to try them as we do not have great variety of American food available here. I'd like to try few things when I visit USA.
But yeah.. if I have to pick, I'd say pie!!
Hard question. I had to visit this website https://blog.cheapism.com/american-food-origins/#slide=12
Something American that is not similar to things of other countries, that I love and is healthy would have to be the unique CORNFLAKES. :)
Gimme that mho 🤣
That's quite a tough question, whilst I love America your food is mainly junk food, there are maybe a couple of dishes that I find ok, jambalaya, clam chowder or lobster roll, pretty much everything else is just trying to kill you 😂
Eh you English don't have much better... fish and chips but thats about it :P
Granted fish and chips isn't that health, but there are things like Sunday roast or hotpot, both with plenty of vegetables, and not fried in a gallon of fat. When I lived in Boston for a year, it was virtually impossible to eat out and get vegetables with a meal, seriously have you people got something against vegetables 🤣
The truth is that most national dishes from any country aren't very healthy at all.
@Still-alive A bit of fish in batter is hardly unhealthy if its balanced lol US would probably deep fry broccoli to make a meal balanced with saturates 🤣😋
@Harleigh90 we do serve have salads here y know lol 😂
@Still-alive How for? The tourists 🤣
Who*
@Harleigh90 sure if you desire :p
@Harleigh90 lolol...

@NathanDavis 😆 Don't know which one is worse! Lol
OK the onion would be like a huge bhaji! Snake! 😳🤢
Twinkies is like a cake right? Fried spong! Wouldn't it just drip everywhere? 🤣
@Still-alive 🤣 One way to kill the romance 🤣
@Harleigh90 just taking the 'we deep fry everything' joke to its logical conclusion lol :P
@Harleigh90 I do think that the "fried ice cream cheeseburger" is the worst... that's a few levels of wrong, lol
@NathanDavis 🤣 My brain can't even process it lol would there even be any ice cream left! Surely it would just melt! The whole list is just wrong 🤣 Never known a human to eat a pigs ear 🤮🤣🤣
@Harleigh90 having spent 8 months (a few of them) on an American Base out in Qatar, you learn to love 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮just how amazing American food is.

not the way we make em here bub :P
How do you make them?
usually with chili... loads of ketchup... you know stuff you find at every American fast food joint here
So you just drown them in sauces
lol yeah we do... i mean i personally don't. i usually have them plain... but most use ketchup here
i eat them plain as well, just salt, and sometimes chili or garlic sauce

I only tried Hash brown, Fries and Burger from what I think is the American. I don't know much lol. I may have tried more but I just don't know. Top of that I have never been to McDonald's ;-;
So did you like hash browns fries and burgers?
Yeah of course! I loved Burgers and Hash browns more though. Fries are kinda too simple.
I'm having Chicken burgers today with cheese fries!
Good lol, McDonald’s is definitely not that good. Real food is at Red Robin
@TyLeeAndPink Oh is it overrated? KFC, Burger King, Dominos are always my first
Actually Red Robin is really good, but Domino’s definitely had good pizza!
@TyLeeAndPink Red Robin is other which doesn't exists in my state lol
I've only got a few American cookbooks 2 are old dessert books from the trellis restaurant and a bread book from tartine, San Francisco that's got some of my favourite soups in.
But overall my favourite is chilli.
Ouu good pick... I forgot about chillies... that is red beans and like meat? And chili peppers of course?
my non-American part says...

NY-style pepperoni pizza, buffalo wings (I seem to love New York cuisine), Philly cheesesteak, Texan chili, and Gumbo.
It's pemmican, I reckon :D
Seriously - ''America'' has no food to offer to me.
Also: many of ''your'' favourites are a lot better in their original version, and in or from countries where they came from :)
Really is bad in some places.
once you move away from chilli, steak and pulled pork, it becomes weird and 🤮
It’s like that anywhere you go though
It's all junk food. I rather get our own healthy food than your junk. Even our junk food variants are better.
Interesting, I rarely see questions for non-Americans so it's nice to see one. If there's something I'm curious about is grits. It sounds delicious!
It's a tough one cos no offence it mostly junk 🤣
Ill defer you to my response to Donkey dan lol
Cornbread isn’t junk though
I don't and I won't eat American food. It's junk, and most of it is poisonous.
It's hard to top some baby back ribs or pulled pork with some good BBQ sauce.
Burgers, hot dogs and fries 😋
Hamburgers i love making them
i dont thinn there's any that stands out to me
Don't listen to the haters. I like BBQ ribs.
