First, I don't like any sandwich that is so tall that I can't fit my mouth around it. Also the amount of burger in a burger should be in proportion to the sandwich. I don't like triple or quadruple patties on a bun. So, ... my go-to burger would be a 1/3 lb of juicy ground beef (80/20 fat content - not lean), cooked medium, on a nice bruschetta bun with cheddar cheese, bacon, crunchy romaine lettuce, BBQ sauce, and either onion rings or onion tanglers.
I usually don't like tomatoes or dill pickles on my burgers. But sometimes I'll have a burger with cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato, bread and butter pickles, and 1000 island dressing.
There's a place called Big A Burgers in the town near me. It's like a small old fashioned diner inside but also has car hop service. They have a great menu and good prices.
A couple of their burgers that I get from time to time just to mix things up are:
Ortega burger - burger and bun as described above, plus pepper jack cheese, an Ortega chili pepper, lettuce, onion rings, and chipotle mayonaise.
Polynesian burger - burger and bun, Swiss cheese, ham (Canadian bacon-style), sliced pineapple, onion tanglers, BBQ sauce.
At In and Out Burger, I always get my burger with lettuce, cheese, raw AND grilled onions. No pickles or tomato.

I never pay that much for a burger. All the amazing burgers I talked about at that Big A place are $9 or $10. No burger is worth more than $15. It's sandwich. I rarely ever pay more than $30 for a delicious meal at a nice restaurant, and I'm not talking about chain restaurants.
I agree that its nuts. But some look so appealing that i’m okay paying for it once. And if its the best thing ever, i’ll buy more. These are burgers from certain restaurants in Miami, Vegas and Australia, so I’m not surprised bu their prices. Even their non-appealing burgers are $10-20 so i rather pay $30 for their yummy lookin one. When i went to Vegas last time, it was $60 for 6 ribs. They were huge but had horrible vinegar based BBQ sauces. I ate 2 and took the rest back to the hotel. Now even tho my hotel was 700/night for the view, it didn't come with a microwave. So my other ribs went to waste. Never again...

For a quick lunch break I like the classic hamburger stand toppings, minus the pickle: Ketchup, mustard, diced raw onion, salt, and pepper. Add mayo every once in a while.
For a more complex flavor, I love bacon, cream cheese, sprouts and onion.
More like a drive-thru or window order only place. All they do is hamburgers, malts, and fries (with fish sandwiches during lent only). They have a few more toppings now then they used to, but the only toppings you can choose from are Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Raw Onions, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese, Pickles, and bacon. But the burgers are very good, and very inexpensive.

I just had a Checkers burger for the first time last night. I did not get the toppings that was supposed to be on the burger so I had to make some adjustments. I don't like raw onions, mayo and pickles. So MY toppings were: •Cheese •Lettuce & Tomatoes •Ketsup

Avocado. Tomato, beefsteak or another fleshy variety. Red onion. Mushrooms fried until slightly crispy. Fresh butter lettuce. Ketchup, mustard, a bit of relish.
Gotta have deliciously seasoned, crispy fries, too. Ideally curly, or waffle. Otherwise, shoestring.

I only get bakery fresh ones, not the ones sold on shelves like loaves of bread. They are just soft on the inside, dont get soggy and can handle a lot of weight, and slightly crispy on the outside

It can be made with many ingredients. When you want a regular burger it's often made out of soy beans, but there are also burgers made out of spinach, broccoli, tomatoes and other vegetables. I think there are often eggs involved as well.

I like well done not burnt. The meat is quite easy to chew if you got good strong chopperz. Seeing anything pink makes me lose my appetite (unless its ribs in which they have that naturally pinkish tone when grilled well). Bt even with steak and all, i prefer well done.
Lettuce and tomato and yellow mustard or Dijon mustard if I do eat a burger.. those 3 I ingredients seem harmonious together or extra cheese with mushrooms and A1 steak sauce

Brie has a very different taste from say cheddar or gouda, have you never had it? One good burger here is fried mushrooms with brie, beef ofcourse and the bun. Probably some other details, but those are the main components. Brie is quite sweet, so it works well.

Bun would be brioche. Buttered and toasted. Patty would be good chuck beef, minced by hand, salt and pep and formed. Ideally cooked on a BBQ, toppings would be pickles and fried/caramelised onions mixed into ketchup mayo mix with paprika, salt and pep add as the standard sauce, plus lettuce as needed for that crunch. Cheese would be something like a Liecester slice.

You know your buns I see.. For starters it would be ground round, medium rare with of course buttered than toasted brioche. Velveeta cheese sauce on the bottom, colby/jack on top of the burger. Finally on the top of the bun.. Peanut butter. It works, it's delicious, try it out. Anyway to finish, add A-1 on both sides and a little message. Oh yeah and bacon!
