How do I open a can of old bay seasoning?

It's not a common product here and I'm not sure how to get the lid off. It's hard to grip with fingers I can't see a lip to prise it off. Help

Job done, whacked a screwdriver through the top. Couldn't even get a fish filleting knife under the lid

Just like a paint can. Use a strong butter knife or a flat head screwdriver. Work your way around it and it pops right out.

Where are you to still be able to buy that old school type. I just looked at mine and it has the plastic shaker and the spoon entry ports.

Thanks for the tip googled it and it came up with this site and your answer I used a flat head screwdriver and it popped off straightaway …BTW just bought this from Lidl on 1st oct 2023 😩

Flat screwdriver is necessary. Lifting gently the lid at several places helps to keep the lid reusable. When the lid is bend, content of such can needs to be refilled in another container.

Use a spoon and pry the lid off. That's the only seasoning I know of that has that type of lid. They should have made it with a screw on cap but I guess they didn't think of that.

Looks different from the old bay can I buy in Canada, mine has two hinged plastic lids, under one you can fit up to a teaspoon measure to fill and under ghe other are a bunch of holes do you can just sprinkle it.
