What say you, foodies, do you like the McRib?

So, I had my first and last McRib sandwich today. There has always been such a hype about them that I thought that I'd finally give it a try. Absolutely underwhelming. Not even as good as their burgers.

Some call it the McRib I call it the McMysteryMeat & I had it 20 something years ago & I remember it was good for fast food quality & the sauce was good as well.

I love their apple pies especially when I bring them home & heat them up & throw a scoop of ice cream on top.

LOL. I don't think I've ever heard of it, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it. I'm not a big fan of lobster to begin with, and "lobster" from McDonald's just doesn't even sound good.

As for me I’ve heard of the McLobster & unfortunately I can’t get it where I live & the funny thing is years back I stopped at MD’s & ask the lady behind the counter & she never heard of it as well. She called her manager & they actually looked it up & were surprised.

The McLobster was an American seasonal sandwich at McDonald's. Now it is only available in Atlantic Canada and New England region in the summer, when lobster is abundant.

I got to admit - curiosity got the better of me. I tried one for the first time ever - and I’m amazed it tasted good. BUT - The cholesterol and sodium is killer and I don’t mean in a good way! 890 mg sodium 80 mg of cholesterol! So as delicious it was - I’m never having another one. Too dangerous in my book.

Good on you for even looking at that info. I'd probably be too scared. I never look at any info on any food to be honest.

Thank you. My doc said I have to watch out for high blood pressure and possibly elevated cholesterol. Once I looked up that info, after finishing it (doh!) and once I saw those numbers, I ate nothing else for the rest of the day.

I respect my body more than that these days. I think some tv frozen dinners are healthier.

My family loves the micrib sandwich. We are thrilled that they brought it back. We very rarely eat fast food but they are delicious

I've never had it and judging by your feedback, I might never. What's on it? Obviously it wouldn't have the bone in it. Is it like a bit of pork spare rib or what?

Honestly, I don't know what it is. It's formed to look like ribs. But obviously there is no bone, and the meat tastes like, I don't know what.

I stopped most fast food but i do enjoy the mcrib. with extra pickles. some franchises do it better than others. maybe you just have a bad one in ur area.
