Hmmm... the thing to do is to put that cast iron skillet on a high flame and get it ultra hot... slap that burger on it about 1 minute a side... get that nice crispy caramelized outside and still red inside... if you're feeling a bit frisky toss some garlic and butter in there right before you sear... very low energy expenditure

I thought steak tartar sounded exciting when I was in Paris, years ago. It did not agree with me (although I remember if covered the whole plate).
