Dry with paper towel steak before putting it in the pan. Don't use too much fat and the pan needs to be really hot. Don't use Teflon coated pans, those are good for eggs or pancakes but not for steaks.

Doesn’t look good at all. That steak wasn’t cooked properly, it looks gray. The vegetables were just a bag of frozen that you warmed up.
