Why is bread so sweet in America?

Too much sugar in almost all processed foods, not just breads. "Healthy" Nutella has about 55% sugars ( so I heard, but I won't argue that point). Maybe try a rustic sourdough bread after eating some of those really sweet Easter breads such as Challah bread or Houska and be satisfied with a risen dough bread that does not use sugar per se. The natural yeasties in sourdough feed off of the natural starches in the flour as they break down into natural sugar fractions. Here are 71 ingredients that are some sort of "sugar":

The American food industry puts insane amounts of sugar or HFCS into everything, because there are no regulations against it. If you inquire about the obvious health risks they will sing you the song of „making informed decisions“. How well that works you can see in the numbers for child obesity and diabetes.
I honestly have no idea. I’ve found that things are sweeter in America than in other places in the world. Tbh, even the milk is sweeter…..
I heard cows are sometimes fed unsalable candy i wonder if that’s why
