Coffee then Cream/Milk, or Cream/Milk then Coffee?

This question has been asked about tea before, this question is about coffee.

How do you prepare your coffee?

Do you put the coffee in first, then the cream or milk?

Or, the cream or milk goes in first, then the coffee?

Or maybe you like your coffee black?

My mother used to simmer milk, then add the coffee to the milk from a special stove top percolator. It had cloth to hold the coffee grains. That was called “cafe con leche”, or coffee with milk. Her grandfather had a coffee plantation in Puerto Rico and she saw the coffee beans being roasted in the sun. Best black coffee I ever had was there.
I normally put half and half in my coffee to get rid of the bitterness. I like it light with no sugar.
But if I had it my way I would drink a “cafe cortado” which is an expresso with sugar they serve in cafes in Spain.

I drink coffee once or twice every few years. I usually put in a drop of milk, just enough to turn it light. But I can't stand the milky taste so i drown the coffee in sugar to tune it out 🤣 Thank goodness i only drink this stuff twice a year. I grew up watchin this

I tend to go cream/milk then coffee, but I sometimes do the coffee then add cream/milk. I've never really thought about it. I love the "what is coffee" question...

If I put the half and half in the cup first it is automatically mixed when I add the coffee. That’s easier.

I prefer black coffee. I can drink it with a small amount of sugar sometimes, but once milk or cream has been added it's a different thing entirely to me.

Pour the coffee in the cup. Warm up the creamer in the microwave then pour it in my cup. I don't want the cold creamer to make my coffee cold
