I don't but, I'm pretty sure they'd be used to it. There's GOTTA be times where someone orders food and, by the time they get around to delivering, it's pissing rain! From what I'm seeing, some people order food several days in advance so, they can't know 100% that it's not gonna be raining by then. Monday, you see the weather report and it says it's not gonna rain `til Friday so, you order food for your employees for a Thursday get together but, by the time Thursday comes around, the rain has moved forward at least a day and you're stuck having the food delivered on the rainy day, anyway!
If you live in an area free from flooding and the storm is not too bad, I say do it
Thanks for MHO :)
I was concerned one time cause I ordered from Costco around 5 p. m. on a Friday and it might have been a special weekend too. I was worried nobody would pick up my order, or some of the items would be missing, or I would get replacement items instead of what I directly asked for. But I got quick and reliable service and it was on time too. Very surprised. I think they went through extra trouble to make me happy because I complained about bad service during a previous order and they did not want to lose me as a customer. I got priority treatment.
If it’s a light rain, yes. If it’s storming, no I wait. Delivery drivers are people, too. Therefore, I wouldn’t want them endangering themselves while bringing me my food. I’ll find something to snack on in the meantime.

I never order delivery. But having said that, they new the risks of the job when they took the job. Personally if I was a driver I'd be more concerned with snow and ice. I do think it's kind of a d*** move to order delivery during a blizzard. I remember back in the day when I worked at a pizza joint one of our delivery drivers complained about the snow because of how bad it was, and I had to antagonize him that he was expendable. That to not worry about if he got in wreck because he had his own insurance and his own vehicle, the company would be fine. Or of he slid off the road, into a ditch and had to call a tow truck and had to pay out of his own pocket to get pulled out, the company would be fine. And if he wasn't putting the company first than he just wasn't a team player. 😆😆😆
Sure, but don't expect an immediate delivery. They may have to wait until the storm dies down a bit before delivering your food.
Would be better to cook yourself than to order. Independent of the weather
And it’d be better to go for a walk rather than be on a website, but that wasn’t the question.
If it’s a bad storm, you shouldn’t order food because that puts the driver at risk that company should shut down for a while if the weather is really bad
they have a raincoat. even cyclists have helmets. ergo can order.
They may have to drive more carefully like anyone else that's on the road, but I know from experience that food delivery services don't shut down because of rain
yes, however the tip better reflect the fact that you are too lazy to go out in that weather.
Yes, that way you don;t have to go out in the rain to get it takeout.
You may need to wait a bit longer if it is torrential rain/weather conditions that could be dangerous and the driver needs to stay put, but otherwise their job is to deliver no matter the weather.
If they can get through then it is fine, they re a business after all.
Sure it is. Why wouldn't it be. Now if it was some sort of major storm then I'd say it's a bad idea
Sure, but you should tip extra and be patient when it inevitably takes longer.
Yes, but where I live we very rarely get bad ones.
Don't see why not. Big tips for the food courier industries.
Delivery drivers work in bad weather. Food delivery drivers don’t make any money if they’re not delivering.
I mean if the service is available.
Its part of the job
