So what cheese do you use? I like blue cheese best.

Like you @purplepoppy darling, I have been known to use either a very good/aged Shropshire Blue or a Colston Bassett Stilton.
It never surprises me when family or friends have commented that they never thought of anything other than Cheddar cheese for their toppings.
Some have even gone away totally converted to their new found experience.
Shops blues one of my favourites
@purplepoppy
It's most certainly mine.
Have you tried Colston Bassett Stilton, if so, what do you make of it?
I don't think I've had that particular stilton
@purplepoppy
Might I suggest you try having a look for it the next time you're grocery shopping.
Depends on the burger if you are making a fast food type burger the correct cheese is actually the slices of not real cheese but if you are making a high end burger then you should at a minimum be using real cheese like mozzarella or perhaps a blend of cheeses like you might find on a pizza.
I don't think I have had blue cheese before, I might have done, I certainly have nothing against the idea its just not what I would reach for first.
A hard or semi-hard cheese like cheddar, muenster, gouda, or havarti. Something with richness and flavor. Pepper jack can be good with certain burger combos.
But blue cheese can be really good.
We use American cheese slices. But I also like swiss, colby jack, and pepperjack cheese on my burgers.

My favorite is Cathedral City cheddar from Cornwall when I can get it here in the US. If I can't get that, Tillamook cheddar.
I usually buy a 18 months aged cheddar cheese, make some thick slices. Last time i tried truffle cheese and it tasted soooo goood. Mostly aged cheese are pretty good on a hamburger
If I have the choice, I prefer Swiss cheese... for both the taste and texture it adds to the burger. Most of the time, though, it's those "rubbery thin cheese sliced things".
That thin floppy cheese is weird lol
Gota be real cheese grated on a hot burger so it melts ummm
Different ones can be good but I don't want those cheap processed rubber things :) We have a lot of cheeses in Switzerland there's like Gruyere which can be good on a burger or others too :) Cheddar would also be good :)
McDonalds and burger king has the best cheeze for burgers. That exact same shit ain't sold in grocery stores. Everyone else has to settle for bullshit.
Usually the cheap American cheese that is mostly vegetable oil
Usually American cheese goes on a burger. On a rare occasion I'll put cheddar cheese
those rubbery thin cheese slice things, as you said haha. kraft singles, otherwise
American cheese substitute block if you want the original
That looks pretty good. I think cheddar cheese is the best. Cheers for a hamburger. Also, throw some bacon on their.
American cheese! American makes everything better.
