You won't be arrested. They'll just say you can't purchase it and take it from you.

I dont think you are going to be arrested. Also it depends on the country and your age what will happen.
For excample you would have no problems at all in germany if you are at least 16 or 18 depending what you buy.

You will be refused. I find it silly that the age is 21 in some US states, it is 18 here in the UK.
