I'm not sure I have a favourite kind of bagel. There's so many good kinds. I like several. I typically like savoury bagels more than sweeter-style bagel varieties, but it just depends on my mood.

I like: poppyseed, sesame, an "everything bagel" which is usually a mix of poppyseed, black and white sesame, and a hint of onion or garlic (everything bagels always vary a bit though); a "harvest" bagel with poppyseed, sesame, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds (again, it always varies); or a cinnamon raisin bagel.

I also like just plain cream cheese on mine with no butter. I've never been one to add jam though. I just like them as a (mostly) savoury kind of thing.

Pumpernickel bagel. One half with cream cheese and garlic powder, other side with peanut butter. Officer Bill Gannon from Dragnet came up with it - The Garlic Nutbutter sandwich. Sounds disgusting but is delicious. by the way he used raw garlic and that burned me so that’s why I use garlic powder or garlic salt 👍🙂
