Limpet or cockle pie?

To honour you as a guest in my home I've slaved away all day over a hot stove to bake two great pies. Limpet pie and cockle pie. I'll be really upset if you refuse to eat one and it may cause an international incident.

So based on the two recipes in the photos (screenshots from a local recipe site) which one are you going to tuck into?

I've never had either cockles or limpets but would love to try both.

I've only seen cockle shells and heard "Cockles and muscles alive alive o"

I've heard of limpets and seen the movie Mister Limpet, but I didn't know they were edible. I thought they were like barnacles but I looked them up and found that they are ocean escargot. 😋 Shouldn't they be made with lots of garlic?

Anyway, I love seafood. So I'm ready to taste some Welsh delicacies.

Cockles are little clams that live under the sand you gather by raking while limpets are those pointy things stuck to rocks
