What would you think of someone saying they don’t eat fruits or vegetables?

Keto and carnivore seems to work really well for some people. It sounds to me like it'd risk micro-deficiencies though unless it includes a variety of protein and fats including micronutrient-dense organ meats like liver.

I tried something like it before but it gave me the runs. I might have adjusted if I did it longer but I feel much better if I get some fiber in my daily diet.

It's also probably the most miserable diet to me. I'd have an easier time with HCLF vegan than keto or carnivore. So many delicious foods to me involve vegetables and fruits or just carbs in general.

It is difficult, but not impossible. Contrary to popular belief you can avoid scurvy without fruits and vegetables. Fresh meat and fish have some vitamin C in them (ship wreck survivors have lived for months on the open sea dining on marine life) the reason why sailors got scurvy in the old days was they pickled their meat in brine and so for a while doctors actually believed scurvy was caused by excessive salt consumption.

i think it's weird and a bit childish. my friend is married to a man in his late 30's that doesn't even touch vegetables. he calls them, in his words, "yucky"

I'd find it odd, but people do seem to favor meat over vegetables anyway. For me, vegetables and fruits is a must.

If she wasn't eating fruits but WAS eating vegetables, I would guess that she was following a low carb diet, and many people consider that to be a very healthy regime to follow for a maintenance diet.

Carnivore diet. Surprisingly healthy. The Lion Diet is more extreme - only beef, salt and water.

I'd try it if it was affordable here. Meat's too expensive right now.
