Do men eat at a faster pace than women?

I've been looking at this trend of women trying to keep up with their partners eating speed and you look at the guy and he's eating slow but you look at the chick and she's eating fast af, she's just trying to keep up tho so is this common? I didn't know this was a thing until these started popping up on my feed 💀

I had a classmate that would eat so fast she wouldn't even breathe... when I asked why, she just said " three older brothers" that was just a habit, lol... if she didn't eat fast she would not eat much or not at all, lmao

if you ever watch an east Asian eat, then you know they eat FAST! some of the most obnoxious eaters you'll encounter. maybe they're hungry? maybe they'll get sent to their room without supper and this causes this behavior? but it's seen in adults too, so i can't explain it unless it's a learned behavior. i am curious to know if you find anything out about this. please let me know.

I eat pretty fast. I had to when I was working for about five years for a company where our lunch-breaks just weren't long enough, so we had to rush, and the habit stuck with me.

In general, I would say men tend to eat a little faster than women. But we should keep in mind that when they are around others, women tend to eat more slowly than they usually do because they are worried about appearing unfeminine. But when they are alone or around people who they know won't judge them, the different between how fast men and women eat is pretty small.

Force of habit. I have been eating fast since I was a child. I didn't like the sitting down to eat time and I was always eating fast in order to play afterwards or to do other things, so it became a habit. I do the same with drinks
