I used to know a woman who would purposely eat junk food when she had to go a long time between meals cause if she ate healthy food, she would be hungry again within 3 hours. When I first took vitamin B1 it was an appetite suppressant cause it would make my body burn my own body fat for energy instead of relying on food for energy but after years of taking it, I find my hunger is back when I go periods without food.
I remember Dr. Berg said to avoid sugar after a work out cause he said if you eat sweets after you exercise, your exercise was in vain and you did all that hard work for nothing. One reason I also try to avoid sweets after a period of fasting, such as early in the morning, when I just woke up and have not eaten since dinner or post dinner snack the night before.

The time it takes for food to digest depends on its structure and how challenging it is for the body to break it down. Healthier foods, which are often less refined and contain more protein and fiber, typically digest more slowly than unhealthy, processed options. However, a slower digestion time does not necessarily equate to greater satiety. For example, ice cream might digest more slowly due to its high fat content, but its large portion sizes, high sugar content, low thermogenic effect, and low-volume, high-calorie nature make it notoriously poor for satiety. In contrast, chicken, which digests faster than ice cream, is a more satiating choice because it does not spike blood sugar and may even cause a slight dip due to its thermogenic effect.
