Like in America we've had reports of immigrants taking geese and swans from ponds in the far right press but how popular is goose generally in America?

It's been my main protein source of the week. ᅠ
I don't think that it's the dish of poultry that people are offended by... I think it's because they go and do it in public parks. We go to a park and feed ducks, we go to a restaurant to eat duck. They come here where the park probably is a place you go to kill animals instead of feed them.
As for dogs and cats though... we're not Chinese and gone through a famine where that's a social norm. They come here from a place where they farm cats and eat them basically. Not a big deal. WE DO THE SAME SHIT WITH COWS AND CHICKENS... they just do with cats and they're bringing that tradition here.
It reminds me of the story that my half Pilipino half white friend told me about how his neighbors ate his dog when he still lived in the Philippines. Yes you loved your dog and he was going to be the best friend of your life for the next 9 years... but your neighbors were hungry...
Wrong because they stole your property to eat it. Steal my shit and I will shoot you in the face, have sex with your dead body, and then eat it. Who's really more wrong... them or me?
Wtf? I mean look at the profile of @Thanks_for_the_MHO
It has been over a year probably, and just recently his opinion disappeared. He had an opinion made on the day his account was created, and it was there not so long ago when I last tagged him.
@The_Confusion I never see him active... like not at all. Maybe he's just shadow banned or something?
Wild geese is very popular here in the us. Better if you can get it not full of shotgun pellets
Yes, and i think the taste just like duck.
But not my favorite, i don’t even like duck.

Imagine being super evil and cooking a bird that loves you
https://www.youtube.com/embed/BS7VKNW-thMWhen I first ate it, I felt like I was stepping into another world. Well, it was completely my fault that I overdid it that day when the goose was fresh out of the oven and forgot about the profiterole with lots of whipped cream inside and ate it for dessert. But I can't deny it, I made a sincere friendship with goose meat that day. If you have the chance, I recommend you try it. By the way, it's great to be a part of the KızlarSoruyor community, I enjoy sharing my food adventures here!
My neighbor has about a dozen Peking and Toulouse geese. I assume he eats them from time to time, but maybe he just uses the eggs. He also raises chickens, ducks, turkey, cows, has a couple horses around, a donkey, some rabbits, etc.
That said the issue isn't that someone would eat a goose. The issue is that someone would steal geese from the public park, kill them, and leave their remains around like a fucking savage or take people's pet cats or dogs and murder them in ritual killings. If it's not your property, you can just take people's livestock and murder it. There are certain populations of wild animals that you can hunt during certain seasons with a licence. Those populations are managed in wildlife plots so they aren't over hunted. If the animals aren't public on public hunting lands, then you can't hunt them.
Gänsekeule, goose leg, is very popular and common in Germany around November, usually served with mashed potato and red cabbage. There's always cabbage! C:
I realised the other day that coldslaw probably derives from Kohl (cabbage, aka Kraut).
We get plenty geese and other game, I think it’s likely not as common in cities. I do prefer duck but goose is fine.
No!
You know that makes sense. It explains why scrouge wanted a Christmas goose..
Yeah I've had it. I don't like it as much as I do duck, but it's pretty good.
Also it doesn't surprise me. Theft comes naturally to the uncivilized.
Goose used to be a common meal for Christmas in the US, but I've never had it.
I've eaten some goose. It's pretty good, but I prefer duck.
Yes. Didn't care for it. Ostrich however, I have no idea Why it's not more popular. It's delicious!
Goose is not popular in America at all these days. Maybe during Christmas time in 1700's New England
I've eaten goose and duck, harvested by myself.
It's nasty.
My waterfowl hunting phase, no surprise, was very short-lived.
I have had goose jerky.
It's pretty good.
A lot of the guys at the station hunt, but the say that geese are only good for jerky.
Never had goose but there’s so many of them around they would have plenty to eat around here, I’ve only had duck when in another country but it was good
I don’t believe I ever have, I’d be open to trying it though!
I have had an omelet made out of a goose egg. I never had a goose.
No I have not but I wouldn't mind trying that that is one of the dishes I wouldn't mind trying and duck 🦆
No not ever interested in any Goose and geese
No, but as usual you've earned a laugh from me.
Never tried goose. I'm happy just having turkey and chicken
No, but I have tried duck eggs when I was a child. They stank the whole house.
I want to say yes, but can’t specifically recall when. I’ve definitely had duck.
