My grandma made something like that just with homemade egg noodles instead of pasta and the gravy was goulash sauce. It's not bad, goulash gains taste with every reheating because beef dissolves in the sauce and egg noodles can be dried and cooked latter in 5 minutes. However it's difficult to choose a salad to this dish. Grated red beets sweet-sour fit or sweet-sour pickles.
This is actually really good. I have done similar before and played around with different takes on it.
It works pretty well. Works even better with some sliced onions mixed in, slightly cooked. Additionally, some parsley. Don't know why parsley works so well in the combination, but it is a must
My grandmother had an Eastern European recipe with chicken meat and a lot of these small pasta stars in a broth. While broth is not gravy, the taste is very similar. And that dish was excellent. So yeah, why not.
You can put anything on pasta. I'm thinking beef stroganoff or oxtail stew or mushroom gravy over pasta.
Cincinnati Skyline Chili is served over pasta.
The possibilities are endless.
Pasta and gravy is quite an unusual combination and is not typically associated with traditional Italian cuisine. However, food is a personal journey, and many people enjoy experimenting with flavors from different cultures. It is not widely popular in the U. S. or Canada. Canadians do love poutine—fries topped with cheese curds and gravy—but this hasn't traditionally translated to pasta. That said, culinary creativity knows no bounds, and unique combinations often work wonders. 🍝🍛

It's been a while I haven't looked at unedited, not eye candy, raw pictures of food, that's an odd sight 😆
Hm using meat juices in pasta is not a custom I know of or practice. When I'm not using tomato based sauces then it's crème fraiche based sauces. Or none of the aforementioned sauces but soy sauce + butter, that's also a way I use to glorify pasta.
It's excellent! The gravy can provide a really enjoyable creaminess to the noodles which compliments feasting meats nicely. I do think it's a decidedly American thing though.
You should give it a try sometime; you'd probably a enjoy it, given some of the other things you cook.
It’s not what I would call popular in the US, but it’s not unheard of either. Beef tips or burnt ends in gravy over pasta is delicious (I think). Some stroganoff recipes call for shredded beef and mushrooms in brown gravy with pasta.
Many things can be mixed up a bit or crossbred. It doesn’t mean that one should however. Only extreme arrogance could produce such an affront to Italian cuisine.

I've met annoying things that I wish could ban. Like people who have weird colours on their face such as green eye shadow or purple lips, people who wear extremely ugly clothes. I wish I could make ugly images illegal. I don't hate them or feel anger to them but I don't enjoy looking at those images, it's annoying, just like an itchy back is irritating.
That's sacrilege and I pray for her soul... If she has one...
I wouldn't say it's popular in the US, but I have had pasta and gravy. Past and sauce (red or white) is much more common.
I love pasta 😍
And wow I've never thought about a poutine pasta before, I'm 100% sure my friend would try this, we are both obsessed with pasta.
It has to be cheese curds though, I'm going to ask her if she wants to try this.
Sounds nice actually. Gravy needs to used more than just Sunday dinners.
Yeah , I reckon mass produced with Cheese and Gravy , it would make it great as a USA franchise Chain , sad part , it would be some of their healthiest fast food.
I'd eat it. Since the base of gravy is animal fat it would be like a flavorful butter pasta with savory flavor and similar texture. I personally would like a chicken based gravy.
To each their own , I’ve seen more disgusting combinations personally but if you like it go for it. Not gonna taste shame anyone
That is a terrible way to ruin good pasta.
The British once fought wars over spices, but now eat this slop.
... but of course
Looks like a heart attack waiting to happen!
Hell no, we don't eat pasta with gravy. We have other pasta abominations, though. Pasta with jambalaya sauce, or Alfredo sauce with Cajun seasoning is pretty good
No not meatloaf gravy marinara sauce, meat sauce Italian
Never had pasta and gravy, only pasta and sauce
You’re not supposed to call it gravy. Real Italians don’t like that word.
Wow! I like to try most types of foods but this is beyond disgusting
I would have it cause if you mix it, it would be a perfect sauce consistency
Ow, my arteries!
Yes I cook pasta with Gravy
If it's suitable for vegetarians - I like it.
Everything is good with gravy
oh no...
Try beef tips in gravy over noodles, yum.
Sure, why not?
That looks very good I want to try it.
Ewwww… gross
It’s supposed to be fries, for a poutine
ahhhh lmao
Looks gross
Cool?
Nah.
looks good
i would like..
