What is your favourite pasta dish?
#punchofpasta
As an Italian I have to correct some things about your question:
1) Fettuccine Alfredo is NOT an Italian dish, probably our grandmas would have a fainting if they see that;
2) spaghetti meatball is NOT in Italian dish, since we don’t use to put meatballs in pasta, we do a similar sauce that is Ragù (pronunciation: rah-goo), that is made by chopped low fat meat with tomato sauce;
3) only an orthographic error, it’s written CACIO E PEPE and not caccio. Cacio means cheese, precisely the Roman pecorino cheese you have to use to do that type of sauce.
Now I’ve finished with my attack of Italian offended pride, I think my favourite between these ones is the Cacio and Pepe, very simple to do but very difficult to balance between saltiness of pecorino and spiciness of pepper. I also like a lot the Pasta alla Norma, I link the recipe under there:

The fettucine alfredo that we eat with cream and that isn't, no. The original with just butter and parm is. Some guy's wife was having morning sickness and all she could eat was that. I made it once and it was wayyyy to buttery for me. So my fauxfredo will do. And bolognese that we eat has nothing to do with actual bolgonese. It's still so delicious and jist calling it favourite pasta dish is more accurate.
All of them, please. Thank you.

I voted the Meatballs in your multiple choice because I like tomato sauce a lot. And meat, hee hee.
But the dish I am always looking for, and can never find anymore, is chicken cut up in pasta (I don't care that much about what kind of pasta, but not a long noodle, and not something very hard-textured), with a lot of vegetables (which they often label 'primavera' or springtime), but WITH chicken broth. It is sooooo good. There was one restaurant in LA that used to have this, and I got it a dozen times. Then they took it off their menu (most things I like get discontinued, booooo), and I've never found it since. Chicken with vegs is very common, but not torn, oven-roasted first chicken, in this intense broth. My mouth just watered.
I also like a rigatoni with Italian sausage and a classic red sauce. Nice and hearty.
I've never had the Caccio e Pepe but I just wrote about a pizza reinterpretation of that, in my 'what have you learned recently' q.
Oooh yeas a nice grilled piece of chicken laid on top with fresh veggies. Yessss!
I haven;t tried many pasta dishes but I've had this delicious creamy pasta that looks kind of like a Caccio e Pepe. I love lasagna but I don't know which type. It has (of course) cheese, eggplant, and zucchini.
Im really hungry now 😅 Ill have to choose lasagna but im not sure which kind it is. I guess its just the default one with meat, I guess.
chicken piccata, a white wine sauce and lemon with basil and onions
Baked ziti or spaghetti carbonara.
Zitis! Yess. Indi carbonara with beef "lardins" or turkey because I don't eat pork. And I have my house recipe anchovy carbonara.
Spinach and ricotta cannelloni
Oooh delish!
Linguini with fresh clams Omg so good.
A man after my own ❤
