4 cheese pasta with roasted stewed tomatoes… my comfort food

You're welcome
My favorite Italian dish has to be risotto. This creamy, dreamy rice dish warms my heart every time. The way arborio rice absorbs the flavors of broth and wine creates a perfect harmony. While in Italy, I had a unforgettable saffron-infused risotto alla Milanese. The depth of flavor was captivating, leaving me in awe of its simplicity and richness. 🍛

I like lasagna bolognese with mozzarella but bechamel sauce I add to this lasagna is french. It's not completely Italian
According to wikipedia, it's Italian, since the Roman empire: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lasagna
You really should say Italian and Italian American variations here. These aren't all truly Italian dishes that are made in Italy. I feel bad for the Italians when it comes to this kind of stuff. People out tomato sauce and cheese on it and it's Italian lol
Fettuccine Alfredo is really not an Italian dish although it is served in Rome at you guessed it Alfredo's of Rome. That said I've been told it's not really a thing anywhere else in Italy. I could be wrong. If anyone in Italy can verify that feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. So technically it is lol.
I also think gnocchi Bolognese is really an Italian American dish. If you mean gnocchi alla Sorrentina that is an Italian dish from Sorrento.
Zucchini lasagne is also Italian American I think not really made in Italy.
Zucchini is a very popular vegetable in Italy, since the Roman empire, so I'm quite sure it's Italian.
Are you Italian?
Zucchini is very popular in Italy but zucchini lasagne is not a dish mainly served in Italy as far as I understand. I am Italian American so not italian. That said I've been to Italy, met family, and are saying this from experience in conversations I've had. Really they had with me wondering why people think things like chicken Parm is an Italian dish. I'm not trying to be snarky, hence why I asked if any Italians are here to verify that I'm correct. I'll gladly stand corrected by an Italian. Their food is very important to them as it's part of the culture. The same culture my grandfather who was born and raised there tried to teach us about.
Well, I've been in three different Italian restaurants, and they had these dishes, maybe you should ask Italians from some other regions of Italy, there are lots of regional differences in Italian cuisine.
That is true and that is why I said if anyone in Italy can correct me please do. Also, I did say fettuccine Alfredo is technically Italian since it was invented in Rome. I've been to that restaurant actually. But outside of Rome you won't see fettuccine Alfredo on a menu.
Where were you in Italy when you had gnocchi Bolognese and zucchini lasagna?
In Trieste.
Interesting. I emailed family in Abruzzi and they said as far as they know Bolognese is really meant for pappardelle or tagliatelle not spaghetti or gnocchi but you do bring a good point about bow regional their cuisine can be.
I voted for the gnocchi, but tiramisu is my favorite. 😋
They all sound awesome. I wish I’d tasted the lasagna.
Lasagna is a very close second to Fettuccine
Any of the above. (Risotto being the last on the list, but I'd eat it.)
Lasagna, followed by pizza and spaghetti.(Think if I had a buxom Italian chick to cook for me!!!)
I voted for Lasagna Zucchini, but I like lots of Italian dishes.
For example risotto, pizza, spaghetti, too many to count.
gonna have to go with fettuccine alfredo
Baked ziti and carbonara
Spaghetti all'assassina
I looovvee lasagna
Pizza Napoletana.
It's spaghetti tastes great
Penne ala vodka
Why?
Just for fun :P
Alfredo
Pizza
Chicken Alfredo
Chicken Alfredo isn't Italian. It's American. No one in Italy eats that
LASAGNA!!!
None of the above.
This is because only a hand full of them are actually Italian.
