Appropos of nothing I threw the chocolate chip banana bread in the oven like I do every week or two. Takes about an hour. So, on autopilot I set the timer for 40 minutes and walk away. At about 38 minutes it dawned on me that I made MUFFINS today. FFFFUUUUUCCCCCKKK! So I run and pull it out. Darker and crispier than they should be but salvageable.

When I made omelettes for my boyfriend's parents the Friday after Thanksgiving. I do make good omelettes but I do not know how to crack an egg! I always get shells in it 😔 I always try to pick them out but I know I always miss some. After dinner my boyfriend said, "I hope you put all the shells in my omelet and not my parents". It's irritating!

Ha! I can crack them with one hand, with no shells left behind. The trick is, my friends, to have a straight, thin edge to crack it on (I use a specific glass) and you have to be quick and try to crack it in half but stop just short. If you go too slow, it crumbles and leaves shells behind. If you use pressure and go quick, it's a clean break. Glad I could help ☺️

@Laciejordan 😂😂😂 Well, my friend, you are probably right, because I crack mine on the sink, which is a rounded edge. I don't like doing it on the countertop, it leaves some of the yolk on it and it's hard to clean all of it up. I'll do it on a glass over the sink 😉

A few years ago made some scallop corn, it looked perfect. Put it in the oven to bake, forty-five minutes later it was done. Open the oven it smelled wonderful and looked perfect. Reached in the over to get it out and dropped it on the floor. Guess you might be wondering why, I forgot the oven mitts for my hands.
