Do you like Chipotle?

Bon Appétit says as the price for a burrito went from $8 to $15, the taste went from incredible to inedible.

Despite eating there like three times a week, lmao, it’s just ok.

My hockey games are always at night, so late afternoon I’m looking to carb up. Chipotle is the healthiest place I can accomplish that without cooking at home. Rice, beans, chicken…. thats what I’m after. A little pico de gallo, hopefully they listen when I ask for a SMALL portion of sour cream and cheese, and lettuce, in a bowl, and that’s pretty much the routine.

Couple gripes: the food is alright, but it seems like all the people who work there are just kind of going through the motions. I would go NUTS if I was the franchisee who owned the place, because these kids are just throwing the fattest spoonfuls of every item on a bowl, lmao. WHO THE HELL NEEDS A FULL SERVING SPOON OF SOUR CREAM? It’s got that prison cafeteria vibe to it, the scoop-and-SPLAT. Legitimately like half a pint of sour cream they’re trying to put on there. I love it as much as the next guy, but JFC…. thats probably why everything is $15 now, haha.

The employees are just giving away the inventory recklessly. Why is there never a manager there coaching them on portion control? Bad for business, and it doesn’t look appetizing. I think somebody told me it used to be the opposite, they used to skimp on the ingredients, so maybe they changed strategies…. but here we are, $15 burritos, lmao.

One more complaint…they don’t wrap their plastic silverware, which is fine enough, but like 50% of the time, the spokes of the for are UP, so everyone’s fingers touch all the parts of the fork you put into your mouth😷 Drives me nuts, just because it’s so obviously illogical, and again, where is the manager to coach these employees to NOT do that. I’m one of the least demanding people you’ll meet in customer service situation, but that one just kills me. WHERE IS THE SENSE IN THAT?🤦‍♂️ So I wash my fork with hand sanitizer before I eat with it, haha

Other than that…. its alright. I don’t understand the fanaticism for it. I don’t eat much “fast food” but this is one of the few exceptions, more out of functional necessity than desire to eat it. But I haven’t stepped foot into a McDonald’s since 1997, so I guess it gets credit for being fast food that I would even consider. The fact that they cook it fresh there, and I can see them doing it, goes a long way for me

I've never really been to a Chipotle restaurant

but let me tell you... the actual chipotle sauce, the adobos, the achiote, the mole sauces...

9 out of 10 times, I would prefer to have a tamal spiced up with actual chipotle sauce... lol

I did like chipotle when they were more reasonable The prices but not at these prices I can go to Olive Garden or Chili’s sit down restaurant with waitresses for about the same price. they are just a takeout place. I’m not interested in spending over $30 for two burritos for two people, I’d rather go to an authentic Mexican restaurant and I know some pretty good ones on my travels

Chipotle is a woke company with pricey garbage. I can get better quality locally made burritos and tacos for half the price from a local mom and pop taco joint and they don't talk politics, they just make food.

For fast food it's probably some of the best quality but you can go to a Mexican restaurant and do much better for that price.

I like cooking so I would do it myself and it's not really time consuming to me.

I've ate there like twice. I wasn't impressed and I thought the 8 bucks was too much to pay. I'd much rather eat taco bell or taco John's. And I rarely eat any fast food anymore. But if I do it's typically panda express.
