Do you like crazy chip flavors?

I don't eat chips as much anymore, and I usually don't buy flavoured chips, but most of the crazy chip flavours I have had in the past have been kind of "meh". Not to say they can't be good, but honestly, I think most of them are created just as a marketing ploy to drum up short-term success to make more money. I like salt & vinegar and dill pickle chips every once in a blue moon, but I prefer all dressed. But that's not really that crazy. lol
You are not wrong
@loves2learn About the marketing ploy or me liking all dressed chips? 😆😋
Both! 🤣
I'll try anything once. I haven't seen many "crazy" potato chip flavors, though.
I like honey Dijon, Maui onion, sour cream and onion, lime and salt, and cheddar. BBQ is okay. I never had salsa flavor but I might like that. I also like spicy stuff. I'm not that crazy about dill pickles, so I doubt if I'd like that flavor on potato chips.
I like all those too! Yum!
Tomato Ketchup Walker’s from England are the absolute best! (Prawn cocktail is a pretty close second).
@Beerluvr They are amazing!
@Beerluvr Yeah, I’ve tried them, they are gross! Besides Heinz ketchup tastes very different in the States. I’m not surprised that the ketchup potato chips (crisps) taste very different.
The craziest I actually like is pizza flavor. But I'll try anything (food related) once.

I like the ruffles but in the grocery store there is a whole section for potato chips and I cannot imagine who would want to eat peppermint potato chips or blackened salmon.
My 6 year old was quite dismayed when the ruffles in the pack were the “cheese ruffles” (sour cream and cheddar) he is a purist and wanted the regular ones. Not to mention his food preferences: he hates cheese and sour cream.
Ftr I love blackened salmon 🤣
I’d try them 🤷🏻♀️
I tried “fried soft shell crab” chips. Why not?
I think you are right, my friend.
That is a given, my friend, but we love you anyway. 🤣🤷🏻♀️🥰
@loves2learn thanks for that- 😀😀😀😀
I like visiting Asian food stores, too. But I remember once in Halifax (Nova Scotia) my daughter had me try pickle and ketchup flavored chips. She was in college at the time and I had never seen those, and both were pretty good. I think I preferred the pickle ones, and now I notice we have them here (US) in stores.
No not a fan. Tbh I struggle with trying new things like I think it looks and sounds nice but then I'm just like what if it doesn't taste good.
And yet I'm the same dumb ass who has taste tested so many stupid things.
Never know till you try it, my friend. 😇
That's true I just don't get my logic like I struggle cause I worry about it tasting bad and having that regret. But then I'll taste test the dumbest things out of curiosity as it sadly overrides my common sense to often.
Better to taste and know than worry you won’t like. Let me tell you a story: I hated tomatoes and mushrooms as a kid. I also hated mayo, cream cheese, ranch and sour cream (though the latter 4 were more severe). In college I decided I wanted to be less of a “picky eater” though I do not think I really ever was. Anyway, i taught myself to like tomatoes and mushrooms in small quantities at a time. The other category I will NEVER be able to handle but at least I have broadened my horizons. I hope this story time has helped. 🥰
That's not a bad idea there are some foods I already can't have and some I'm so used to not being able to so that doesn't bother me much. I don't know if it's common but something like mashed potatoes I can't eat as the texture makes me nauseous.
But yeah I'll definitely try it.
Some people have a hard time trying new food than others. That is normal and OK. Try to step out of your comfort zone within reason when you can. 🥰
Yeah that's true thank you for being as kind as you always are.
I still remember when I tried a chili from the plant in a departments office at my work. They really liked chilies and it's kinda odd to have in an office. But it was like an inch in size so I thought it wouldn't be spicy. That was very incorrect.
I like to try all kinds of chips, so long as they're not too spicy. During my travels to other parts of the world, there were some unusual chips (crisps for our British friends) that I tried.
I don't know where my sister found them
But Pickle and Sour Cream
I don’t mind trying new stuff, so I’m cool with different flavored chips
I'm crazy but I don't like crazy flavors of potato chips. I prefer plain or BBQ flavor chips
Nice. Will have to try them. I love the Jalapeno Cheddar or just plain hot jalapeno flavored chips normally.
Nope! I don't eat them because they are not whole foods and additive-free.
Do you guys have twisties. I had a cheese burger flavour once, was not for me, I prefer the standard flavours.
Never had the
*them
In a way. But I like trying something like that at least once!
What is this montosity what are lays. Miss these are called walkers.
I'm always a fan of trying new and crazy flavors, I'm usually looked askance at for it though.
Sometimes… they are often odd overseas…
Spaghetti flavor for instance
I bet they are! I just star eyed this. No idea what it means. 🤣
Yep, I think it’s a “fun” tag
Halo is “helpful” also I think
Good to know ty!
I hope that’s right lol you’re welcome
I used to like baked beans flavoured when they were a limited edition
Yep if it sounds good, I'm trying it
Some I do. But there are some strange chip flavours out there
Dill pickle chips yum
BBQ.
Yum!
