I'm not at all comfortable eating alone at restaurants. I can sit at some cafe to drink some tea or coffee but at restaurant? No. I call and ask for home delivery or I ask them to pack my food while I'm on the way home instead as it's really awkward to have a big table all to yourself and have all these seats around your seat. Tried it once, never again.

@Fftggg I usually prefer sitting in the corner whether at restaurants or at the movies. Sitting in the corner alone would definitely be less awkward but I would still prefer eating at home unless I'm so hungry that I can't wait

I have no issues eating alone but I once had a waiter be rude to me because I ate there alone twice and he thought I was doing it to hit on him.
