Trending & News No. Toddlers for example need more fat than adults. Children are growing and a lot more active, they need better quality food than adults.
so more fatty fish? more fatty cheese? more fatty nuts? my kids do not like fat unless it comes with protein. they prefer carbs
Just fat in general. Most fat comes with protein anyway
I've been digging deeper into this now. 12% of cals coming from protein for the average 8 year old. according to guidelines they can eat up to 30% of cals from protein (same as adults). 12% from protein sounds like the AVERAGE kid is being severely malnourished forget about half the kids below average
Hospitals see it all the time. Parents assume the low fat diet that's good for adults is good for kids and it results in malnutrition. Nothing wrong with feeding them fruit and veg but you've got to give them plenty of meat too.
Generally yes, but obviously the age of the kids is a factor. Very young children need food of a certain consistency and may benefit from a different nutritional profile.
Of course. They need the same nutrients.
Oh, if you mean luxury food... i'd say if mom/dad/both have the extra money for em
What does the pediatrician say? They will probably recommend a nutrient rich protein drink if the child is lacking in sustenance.
Kids can certainly enjoy many of the same foods as adults, as long as those foods are age-appropriate and healthy. It's important to ensure the textures and sizes are safe for them. Introducing diverse flavors early on can be an enriching experience, helping them develop a broad palate. I remember being introduced to sushi as a child; it became one of my favorites as an adult. Sharing meals can also strengthen family bonds and encourage positive eating habits. 🍽️

No if possible. Children need more protein and calcium. Under age of kids 5 should avoid too much salt. Feeding them with chips is a very bad idea. Cheese and bread contain lot of salt too, that's why cottage cheese and crackers without sugar are better option. Food with lot of Mono-sodium-glutamate aren't recommended either, because message stimulates reward center. At some point food without lot of message doesn't taste for kids anymore if they get message food too often and too much.
"Kids" could refer to a newborn, or to a 17 year old boy or girl. You should be more specific.
Not exclusively. Kids need foods that encourage growth. Adults don't need to grow any bigger.
Not all the time. The dumbest move you can make as a parent is to introduce your children to sushi, crablegs, lobster, and prime steaks.
why,
Cause that shit's expensive.
yeah wild caught salmon is like 20$ a pound. i still think its important to feed your kids food rich in nutrients
chicken is nutritious
sure, for protein. I think the average kid is getting 12% of calories from protein. That should be 20% at least.
I'm not here to debate nutrition with you.
what do you think the question Should kids eat the same foods adults eat means lmfao
And I told you - introducing your kids to expensive foods is an epic fail. Cause they'll love them and you're on the hook to buy that shit for them.
It seems kind of pointless to me, why give kids classy stuff when they can't appreciate it and would prefer a burger.
The kids eats what is offered, and the parents make sure it's healthy and balanced.
no i eat a lot of sperm
What do you mean? If you mean portion wise, no.
No, kids have special dietary needs.
Obviously this is contextual.
Yes, dumbass nuggies 😒
Sure, why wouldn't they eat normal food?
