Milk or Cream in Coffee - How do You Do it?

For those of us who don't drink coffee black, we add milk or cream to the coffee.

Question is: How do you do that?

You add it to keep the coffee hot. Hot coffee evaporates very fast, so it cools down quickly. Adding milk significantly lowers the temperature of the mixture, which slows down the evaporation rate. This means the coffee stays hot for longer and retains its bright, fresh character. If you want it to cool down fast, don't add milk. If you want to keep it hot, add milk.
