really strange almost twilight zone experience last night , it was Thanksgiving weekend here its in October in Canada so i went downtown to some local pubs/bars , usually in past years they'd be very busy on the Friday of this weekend.
but not at this pub , it was like empty but was suppose to have live music last night but when i asked server about why there was none she didn't know if there was any or why he cancelled at last minute. and her and manager stood around acting like they were surprised it was so quiet for a Friday
then a few guys showed up but place still like empty and no sign of any students who are back home for weekend and normally come out here. then i eventually left after i paid for the 1 beer i ordered but no sign of anyone showing up and by then it was almost 11pm so people would of came by then.
then when i got home i googled the bars name to see if there had been anything posted about this weekend , and like literally nothing promoting it at all , there is posts from a few weeks back that show bar glasses and some tiktoks that feature bartenders but nothing about the Fall or long weekend at all.
so is the manager and owner really that clueless and dumb? like zero promotion for a long weekend and not even sure if there is live music or not? like how long would it take to make 1 instagram post saying the bar is open on the long weekend and what is going on then?
i checked google liv out of curiousity , 6 30 pm on a Friday Live: Less busy than usual
not even many people there for Friday at dinner , seems like place is really doomed , other places nearby are busy according to google so people going elsewhere

You wrote this ten times already. If you are that concerned for this pub, don’t tell us, go there and tell them.
its really weird almost like all the servers who work there are scared or told to lie to cover for the managers stuipidity
like the one i talked to last night , at first she said there was live music then suddenly she didn't want to talk about it or why there suddenly was none , it was like so weird she works there and even she didn't seem to know what was going on
but i can't complain to the " manager " as obviously she is the problem here , like i could ask why there was no post on social media about the long weekend but honestly is she going to admit the whole thing was her fault?
i know , can't believe she still works there , at most restaurants she would of been told to leave by now or demoted to another position but for some strange reason she is allowed to stay and allowed to ruin the business all well the owner stands back and says nothing.
its like super weird , i've honestly wondered if she has some dirt on the owner and he's too scared to fire her worried that she'll spill the beans about something else
some have wondered if he's banging her but seriously has to be no as she's a married lesbian and he has a girlfriend
I know a dozen places like that and they've been open for as long as I can remember. I asked my cop buddy about a few of those places and he said, don't ask questions and don't go inside those places. Someone might be recording everyone going in and out.
i wondered about the security camera's too , is some inside that only the owner has access to and no one is able to see what is being recorded or why , his camera would give him a very clear view of staff and the inside
but i've been there before over the years on other long weekends ( Thanksgiving ) and normally its way busier so i'm not sure what happened to take things the way it was this weekend
for both Friday and Saturday nights to be bust is really off , i wonder what she told the owner when she had to report end of day sales totals , they must of been brutally low compared to other years ,
My cop friend says these places are under constant surveillance. Undercover cops are always on the lookout for businesses that aren't busy when they should be and want to see who is going in and out of these places.
i've been stopped before or been through ride checks after leaving that place , told them i only had like 1 beer but they still stop me and give me a breath test which i've always passed then they let me go
wouldn't surprise me the police monitor the place , its a small city and not a lot goes on here so perhaps they think something goes on there
As I've told you before it's a money laundering operation so they don't care if it does well because on paper it's still good
they make some easy money during the tourist season then its harder to explain how this place makes money.
last night truly bizarre , Saturday even weirder than Friday, i didn't go in till about 9pm , was a few people there but mostly an older crowd or random tourists ( like no one i actually knew other than staff ) but no one else really showed up the whole time i was there and it never got busy by the time i left
manager was there and acting like a lunatic , dancing around with other staff , playing girly music that didn't really fit the crowd or vibe ( was also no live music Saturday either ) it was like she didn't even care place was empty , it was all a big joke to her , she could care less , i can't believe she is the manager of that place , what i saw last night would of been grounds to fire her on the spot
If it's a laundry, making money is a problem because they'll make too much on paper
Say under the old legal running, it made $10k a week and legit take is now $2k, the dirty cash infills the missing $8k so on paper nothing has changed
some of the staff more sketchy than i realised , this one server i noticed her instagram page when i was checking out the bars page last night and she is now using her page to promote amazon prime
so someone she is paying paid to show posts that promote that service in her feed , i'm sure how she got the connection to do that but must seriously be low on money , using her personal social media to post things and get some money in return
ops " somehow " she is being paid and i'm Not sure how she got the connection
but either way seriously weird she'd do that on her own page
