Is she being scammed do you think?

A girl I know got on a dating website and brought a guy who she was speaking to for 3 weeks to Europe and married him. They both live together and she told me that he can't wait to get his european passport and that he tried to get out of his home country of Iran for years but was never succeasful. Do you think she may be getting scammed? She also does not let him out of her sight and is always with him 24/7. I feel like he may get his european passport and then run a mile. What do you think?

My cousin knows somebody who dated a religious guy that was not an American citizen after the girl's father died and left her with a very large inheritance and she married him and went to the Middle East and then he banned her from communicating with her family and friends overseas. My cousin believes she is either dead or being held against her will cause they had been best friends for over 20 years and she would never drop my cousin unless she was being forced to cut off her friends by a third party that was interfering with her freedom. You should warn her if you see red flags. My cousin did not trust her friend's husband while they were dating but she kept her mouth shut and now she regrets not breaking them up cause they are clearly not happy together and she does not even know if her friend is alive right now.
