I will say Steak Tartare which I had in Paris in 2007.
Also — O mon Dieu! — the macarons I had from Ladurée on the Champs-Élysées.

I like crab meat in France. I also like cheese samplers at restaurants but I am not sure I have ever had a cheese that was exclusive or dominant in France. I do not know enough about cheeses to figure out which cheeses are native to what location.

  Actually in French they are called "pomme frites". And two thirds of Belgians speak Dutch, a third speaks French, a few percent speak German.
