What is the WORST kind of bacon?

I just cannot get into maple bacon. For some reason I find it so incredibly detestable. What do you think is the worst kind of bacon?

Turkey bacon is an imposter and doing a bad job at it to boot. Nice to see others feel the same.

Chemically cured and artificially smoked bacon. The cheapest bacon sold in EU is always like that.
Salt cured bacon needs at least 10 days to develop specific bacon aroma due milk acid bacteria exposure. It needs to lie 24h in sweet water to lose salt. Than bacon needs to be air dried or cold smoked for several days. Of course this is too much effort for food industry.

In meat industry nowadays, pork belly will be covered for few hours with chemicals and teak wood aroma powder, then sold as bacon. It's wet, jumps and explodes due moisture on hot pan and taste like crap. Looking for dry bacon isn't an option either because they know it's wet and add emulsifiers that simulate consonance on air dried or smoked bacon.

Cheap nasty stuff like Danish bacon that extrudes a horrible white gunky mess when you fry it.

I would never buy turkey bacon at home but the reason you gey it on pizzas is because a lot of Muslims work in the fast food trade and they can't handle proper pork

True about the Muslims in the fast food industry, but it's not that they can't handle pork properly, it's because by their religion they can't handle pork at all. So they come up with halal peps and sausage and bacon, all of which do not have the full flavor of the real stuff.

This stuff is like glue and damages every Teflon pan instantly when it burns. Even steel pan need a steel scrubber treatment to get rid of that disgusting stuff.
With naturally made bacon this doesn't happen.

I’ve never had bad bacon. So i can’t propose a “worst”. The sweet and salty flavor blend of maple and bacon is an old favorite. I discovered it by accident, like a lot of people, when the excess maple syrup from my pancakes oozes onto my bacon side at breakfast. Yummy!
That said, i did not go out to grab the Hormel Cinnamon Toast Crunch bacon when it was available. It might be great, but it didn’t strike my fancy at all.

Not a fan of maple bacon either. The sweetness ruins it entirely for me.

I'm also not a fan of Canadian bacon. Bacon for me, has to be crispy bacon strips. I can have that with so much, especially in burgers and sandwiches.

Bacon that's not cooked well enough. I hate those little rubbery bits that you just can't chew!! even worse, when the entire strip is like that!! What's the fucking point? I'd MUCH rather eat it burnt than hardly cooked at all!!
Probably the worst kind of bacon is boiled but, I've never had that.

I've had maple that I liked, but the flavor was light to moderate, not overpowering. Any additional flavor that overwhelms the bacon itself won't be on my plate either. And the amount of flavor does vary from brand to brand. If well-made, applewood can be very nice for me.

I only like thick cut from certain brand, or if I get it from the butcher. Don't know if you can get Greenfield bacon where you are, but it's the best damn stuff on the planet after a local butcher.
