Anybody know how to use a Mr. Coffee to heat water for tea?

That's what I thought until, when I poured the water into the top, most of it drained out of the bottom all over the counter!!
As for "brewing it like coffee", I have no idea how to do that. Except for making a cup of instant for dad a couple times, I've never made or drank coffee. Closest I ever came was cappuccino and all I had to do was press a button while holding my cup under the nozzle.

Simple. Put a lean fresh filter in but don't add coffee. The machine will provide hit water to the cup. Just add a tea bag and steep like normal.

@FunkyMonkee The plastic filter holder very often has coffeee stains. If you don't use a filter, the tea will have a not-so-subtle coffee flavor as the hot water drips through the plastic.
