My all-time favorites to cook and eat at home are tomato basil soup with grilled cheese, miso soup with tofu and wakame, Italian minestrone packed with beans and veggies, creamy roasted butternut squash soup, and a slow-cooked beef and barley.

Tomato basil and miso always feel like a warm hug after a long day 🍲

Noodles soak just after 2-3 hours and get mushy that's why it's better to put noodles separate and mixing in bowl while eating.
Some people prefer rice, but rice has the same problem. After one day in soup it turns into glue.

My grandmother's drop dumpling chicken soup!! She'd make a huge 5-gallon pot and I'd eat 6 bowls and then eat a huge turkey dinner followed by more of the soup!! She knew how much I loved it so, she'd make loads of extra.
Ramen noodles.
Lipton-style chicken soup.
Beef barley.
One night, after getting home from a gig we just played, I decided to make a bowl of soft-boiled eggs. My guitarist had never heard of this before and called it, "egg soup".

My Mom always fed me Lipton chicken noodle soup 😋 when I was sick in bed. Brings back good memories for me.

Did you ever have ketchup soup?
One day, mom had to go to a mall or something about half an hour away and was gonna be there for several hours. Dad was left to feed us when it was time for dinner. He wasn't much of a cook at the time and asked mom what to feed us for dinner. Mom told him to make a pot of Lipton noodle soup.
Problem is, she would often take the chicken broth out of one the pouches to use a pinch or two to make chicken gravy if she made roasted chicken and dad didn't know that!
We got hungry and dad boiled the pot of water to make the soup. All he knew was that you just pour the contents of the pouch into the water when it boils so, that's what he did. Mom had already removed the wad of chicken broth that's in the pouch with the noodles so, all he was doing was boiling the noodles!!!
He called us for dinner and set the table and put some of the "soup" into our bowls. We started eating it and complained that it's not the way mom usually makes it. It has no flavour at all. So, dad suggest we pour ketchup into it! Happily, we did so but it tasted even worse!! But, we all ate it!! Even dad!! But, we never let him forget about his ketchup soup!!
