I do both. When I'm out for a few hours with my wife we'll usually stop at Starbucks for a break. I'm not going to go broke going to Starbucks once a week.
Because they can. And because they are lazy and may not have the equipment at home to take the time to produce fancy coffee like Starbucks can
Got me!! I put it down to: more money than brains!
I cannot afford Starbucks so it is not an issue for me, but good point!
Because they like to go there and talk they can’t bring their own coffee in there
I make iced coffee at home. I also don't like Starbucks for multiple reasons.
They've not discovered Nescafe at home 😜😎
Some people are lazy to buy a kettle

A lot comes down to convenience, habit, and feeling. Starbucks is like “coffee plus”: caffeine, a branded experience, a quick ritual on the way to work ☕
Many people don’t want to grind beans, froth milk, or clean equipment. At a café, they get consistency, a social vibe, Wi‑Fi, and a sense of treating themselves.
I still brew at home often, but that café atmosphere is hard to bottle.
