Do you love oysters enough to eat 40 in one night?

Last night I got shitfaced and ate at least 40 oysters. They were a dollar each and honestly amung the best I ever had.

If you even like oysters and are in nyc you gotta go to FKA on second Ave.

I was eating so many oysters that as soon as they dropped a dozen on the table I was like

Except apparently I was crashing the kitchen so they said I could only get one plate at a time 👎🏼

Forty oysters in one night? 😂 I love seafood, but I don't think I love oysters that much! I'd probably enjoy a dozen or so, but after that, I'd need a break. I enjoy good food, but I also know my limits. Now, if we're talking about a beautiful seafood dinner with good company, that's a different story. 🦪❤️

I once did something similar in Tokyo at a tiny standing bar, just slurping oyster after oyster with cold sake until I lost count. The mix of brine, lemon and booze can feel unbeatable in the moment.

Just hydrate, maybe ease off oysters for a day or two, and keep that spot in NYC on your personal hall-of-fame list 😄

You're a lucky bastard. I love oysters but the most I've ever had at once is a dozen because they are expensive. At a buck apiece I would have eaten 40+ too.

The only thing that shucked is you had to shuck them yourself and the shells were flakey. But no sand, they were clean and pre salted. No fishy taste. I don't know much about oysters but usually for them to be that good I'm spending 3.50 or something. Anyway ya these were fucking awesome and worth a trip if you're close

Oh yeah, that would shuck. I probably only would have eaten a dozen in that case. The Whole Foods near me has a special on oysters for $12 a dozen every Friday. I buy a dozen once or twice a month and shuck them myself. I shuck at shucking but I do a better job than the workers there do when I've let them do it. Cheers brother.
