There are people who have the oppinion/attitudes that you have described so it's not exactly easy to tell if you are being serious or not without knowing you a lot better
true though I felt like I exaggerated and wrote out the descriptions so close to the general stereotypes that it'd be obvious but.. I guess that just goes to show how much can be lost in translation without changes in intonation and such.

sweetheart does not equate to flirting. Most of my friends call me sweetheart on the regular, when they're straight and mean it in contexts that are strictly platonic.

that's true. I wrote this mostly to just poke fun at the the stereotypical 'female-speak' but some are partially true, and I've seen done countless times by my friends and/or myself. I'm namely guilty of the '... I'm fine.' one. Though I don't remember the last time I said that one seriously after my boyfriend dealt with it once by just continuing on and being all peachy-keen when I was of course upset. Eventually he told me I had no right to be even further mad that he hadn't 'fixed the issue' because he was no mind-reader.
That stuck with me and... twas the last time I ever told him fine when I was anything but. :P
