Man you are really fucking whipped.
Just avoid them until it's over.
That's what the Bible and Quran say
@jacquesvol I don't know about the Bible. how in the hell Quran said to leave them on their periods?
@Mi2mi2a all very strict rules about not even touching hands of a woman who could be unclean because of herperiods.
Judaism has the same.
@jacquesvol Sorry but you were given wrong informations, and well if you are a muslim, it's sad that there are many men who create rules under the name of fqih.
That's what even Hinduism says. If you're on periods, you're not supposed to go in temples. Although it isn't monitored strictly everywhere, you cannot visit most famous ( and probability most religious) temples if you're having periods.
Just how hygenic are you as a person? Do you wash your hands often, and correctly after touching contaminated stuff?
@Political_dude
In the Vedic period, women were "happy to bleed" as the society had a liberal line of thought and considered menstruation a natural process. They were free to do poojas daily despite this so-called impurity.
According to Acharya MR Rajesh, the founder of Kerala-based Kashyapa Veda Research Foundation, the Vedas never portrayed a menstruating woman as impure. Stop Spreading Wrong Information.
Menstruation is not considered as sin. Stop Spreading Wrong Information about Hinduism.
@Being_a_good_Indian Hinduism isn't a religion it is a lifestyle. It blends with what majority does. As far as I know, this is followed in highly conservative societies.
@Political_dude
*"I know, this is followed in highly conservative societies."*
What you know about Hinduism doesn't matter. What is Hinduism in reality matters.
Highly Conservative Society?
Are you living 2017? On what basis you can claim it's conservative?
@jacquesvol a lot of cultures did say to stay away from menstruating women. But remember those rules were made in a time back before adequate hygienic technologies were created.
The cultures also prohibited people from touching men who ejaculated in the past day. People who performed animal sacrifices - even those dictated by the bible - and thereby touched blood, were also prohibited from being touched
Leaking bodily fluids in general was taboo but nowadays we have adequate hygiene so these rules are irrelevant
@jacquesvol I also forgot to mention the Quran doesn't even say that. I'm fact it explicitly says otherwise
"Book 3, Number 0590:
'A'isha reported: I would drink when I was menstruating, then I would hand it (the vessel) to the Apostle (may peace be upon him) and he would put his mouth where mine had been, and drink, and I would eat flesh from a bone when I was menstruating, then hand it over to the Apostle (may peace be upon him) and he would put his mouth where mine had been.
Book 3, Number 0591:
'A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) would recline in my lap when I was menstruating, and recite the Qur'an.
Book 3, Number 0592:
Do everything except intercourse."
@jacquesvol
According to ahadith which have been deemed authentic by scholars, Muhammad encouraged menstruating women to be present at festive religious services for the two Eid holidays, although they were not required from praying, but nor were they prohibited.
In Sikhism, woman is given equal status to man and is regarded as pure as man is. The Sikh gurus teach that one cannot be pure by washing his body but purity of mind is the real pureness.
Guru Nānak, the founder of Sikhism, condemned the practice of treating women as impure while menstruating.
The Guru makes it very clear that the menstrual cycle is a God-given process. The blood of a woman is required for the creation of any human being.
The requirement of the mother's blood is fundamental for life. Thus, the menstrual cycle is certainly an essential and God-given biological process. In other faiths blood is considered a pollutant. However, the Guru rejects such ideas. Those who are impure from within are the truly impure ones.

Being a Good Indian.
Have a great day ahead.
@Being_a_good_Indian
In the Hindu faith, menstruating women are traditionally considered ritually impure and given rules to follow. During menstruation, women are not allowed to “enter the kitchen and temples, sleep in the day-time, bathe, wear flowers, have sex, touch other males or females. Women themselves are seen as impure and polluted, and are often isolated as untouchables, unable to return to their family, for the length of their period.
For the same source as yours
@Political_dude
Today, many mothers advise their daughters not to go to temples during their menstrual days. The irony is that these mothers have little knowledge to justify this "custom" with a convincing reason. They owe it to the religion, without going deep into the Vedas, which are regarded as the root of Indian thought, to get an idea as to what Hindusim is all about.
The four Vedas never state anywhere that a woman's body is impure or that she cannot do poojas during menstruation. Prohibiting women from entering temples and castigating them as impure is squarely against the teachings of the Vedas.
Being a Hindu in my house we still have Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata and various other literatures. It's a MYTH.
@mistixs irrelevant indeed. Those 'rules' survive from a thousands of years old era of ignorance and were included in 'holy books' when these were put in writing and later printed.
@mistixs interesting quotes from the Quran! :)
Thanks.
@mistixs it has always been my impression that in most beliefs people don't read the holy books fully, merely some cherry picked parts and -for daily life- do *what their friends think is probably* in the books.
@Being_a_good_Indian
@jacquesvol
Holy books are the basic foundation of the knowledge we have about our religion. Agnostic Theist but read all the religious books to understand religion in better manner.

Not about periods but until not so long ago, Roman Catholic tradition prohibited women from entering a chruch for 40 days after giving birth. She could desacrate the church that way. That's why many older European church buildings have the baptism chapel outside the church itself: that way the new mother could be present at baptism without sin.
I just read the terrain and act accordingly.
SO TRUE
I seriously feel dory for girls in this time and I will help them but I do get pissed off if they are faking it or if they just blame everything they do on periods.
When i say what they do, i'm on about the girls who aren't actually on them, don't worry ^_^
nice take fam
No problem mate!
