As of the 2010 US census, people who self-identified as white constituted the majority in Puerto Rico, making up 75.8% of the population. People who identified themselves as being of mixed race origin, predominantly of West African and European ancestry, constitute an additional 3.3% of the population.
Perhaps you Americans could refrain from bombing third world countries that you refer to as shitholes and help Puerto Rico out as it's a US territory.
Maybe you and your white sisters can help em our. Y’all can get together and use all of that power and a dash of that grace to help em.

That is true. It's just a reality check because culture and media heavily skews Puerto Ricans or Hispanics as a race. Puerto Rico is mostly white and black people though. The same is true in Brazil.
There is native American and there is European. Hispanic is not a race. It is something I think it was the US government created to identify people because you know we have to put people in perfect bins.
@cavmanier the definition of hispanic could include philipinos or and spainish speaking people. A lot of U. S. views on hispanic people was formed out of bigotry from texas war of indepeneence, mexican-american wars, spainish-American war, the banana wars and of course the KKK who believed only those of Anglo, German and scandanavian prodestant stock were white.
Spanish is not a common language in the Philippines. I know they were conquered by the Spanish but that doesn't really make sense.
Do you have a credible source for your racism claim? My understanding is the term was mainly created for census purposes. The government wanted to know how many of different groups are here which is understandable.

This is why many people from south of America reject the terms Latino and Hispanic. For example more Mexicans (I know I used to live in San Jose California) prefer the term Chicano.
