Is being a tomboy unattractive?

I'm personally a tomboy and all of my friends try to make me look girly... they make me wear skirts and high heels and go to school and when i walk in school with skirt i feel like everyone would make fun of me right now! I rather to wear sweatpants and my all stars and skate instead but my friends tells me if i continue like this i'm never gonna find a boyfriend :D and i'm too friendly with guys like i handshake and hug them like they are my bros... what should i do?

I'm so attracted to tomboys. They are generally very comfortable around men perhaps because they grew up with older brothers. They're not spending tons of money on layers of makeup and jewelry and high fashion. They're much more comfortable in an F-150 than a Solara. They're generally adventurous and they kill their own spiders, lol. They'll go hunting and fishing and take on outdoor tasks.
One misconception is that they're not feminine. I'm still attracted to feminine gentleness, empathy, sensitivity, caring, compassion and tolerance. If I don't see some of these traits i'mma think your preference is hardcore lesbian and you won't get to know me.
I like a girl who will stand her ground about her likes and dislikes yet can defer to me without pouting or whining. I think of girls from farms or ranches that might be called redneck are comfortable around firearms and livestock as ultra hot.

Keep doing exactly what you're doing and you'll find a guy who values you for exactly who you are. If you're true to yourself you'll be honest to your guy and he'll be honest to you when you find him.

I actually have an older brother who is like a best friend to me. We do crazy stuff and go for nights walk and talk. He gives advises to me so do I. I actually understand guys more than girls but it's not like i'm against girls or i hate being one of them. I just laugh to different stuff, and talk about other topics, or do stuff that are usually a guy's interest.

For sure you're my kind of girl. Tell your friends thanks but you've tried "girly" and it's just not for you. You may disappoint some of them but others will like your style and you'll find the right guy for you.

What I feel most guys like is a girly looking girl with a tomboy attitude. So tight jeans, faux leather pants and skirts. However, I personally think you should dress how you want and not what anyone else wants you to dress like. When it comes to the tomboy attitude girls that are tomboys are really awesome because generally hardly anything grosses them out, they often do not get offended easily and they are not into gossip and drama. However, even the tomboy attitude can be taken to far. How far do you take the tomboy attitude because some girls take it as far as farting in public and stuff and most guys would not like a girl doing that in public.

and about that level of being a tomboy as you mentioned, my personality is more NOT like a girl... the topics i enjoy to talk about, the colors and my interests are different. I hate gossiping, I hate talking about nails, hair salons, or hearing a girl tell a friend that she has a nice shirt and after that talk behind her back and say that "she is such a b***ch, did you see her shirt?" I don't like that and don't want to be like on of them so i just do whatever i think it's better for me to do which goes back to the way i think and act. I'm usually more comfortable to have guy friends and have the encourage to do dangerous thinks and i just don't care if get dirty (like girls do and they're like ew i'm not touching that, ew my hand got dirty) I don't scream for something exiting and i never can't give girls that dirty look as they give to me. I am a girl but my interests and the way i think is much different that them...

I'm a tom boy too in high school I always had problems getting a boy friend because I was just one of the boys. After school when the people aren't as... lets say judgmental. I found out how much easier it was to find a guy. I now have a wonderful man who enjoys the fact that I love everything he does. He was so shocked when I was able to take the fish off the hook and kill him in call of duty. Don't worry about how you are. You are just perfect the way you are.

Well, the real word for "tomboy" is dyke or lesbian. So it probably is unattractive to some.
I don't know, the girls I've liked happen to have almost boyish humor, but nothing else about them is tomboyish.
Some self-proclaimed tomboys just try too hard though.

Feminine females make sense, don't they? Honestly, skirts do look good, so do all-stars, so why not both? Hugging and handshaking is great, joking with the boys is great, etc. But you don't have to "act" like anything, just be yourself and hopefully you live in moderation.

Generally, I could see why guys would want feminine girls
as opposed to tomboys.. but personally I find tomboy'ish girls
to be plenty cute.

My girlfriend, is what I call a half tomboy..
Since she likes to do all kinds of things that would be
typical for guys, but she also adores the girly things..

So, no, I would not say that being a tomboy is unattractive
you may just have to look a bit more, for a guy who appreciates
that part of who you are. ^.^

NO it's not unattractive... to the right guy. Some guys like to be friends with the girl first, they like to think of her as their equal, and shcok-horror, some guys don't like to treat her as an object to be simpereed over and placed on a pedestal. If you don't want to be treated as an object, just be yourself. You'll get to realise how true this is once you're out of high school.

I personally tend to seek out the tomboys because I find we'll have more compatible personalities and interests. I also want a girl who doesn't mind going out and getting dirty.

Personally, I am all after the girly type, so to me a tomboy wouldn't be attractive. But I know many guys being obsessed with them, so the answer to your question is like no.
