I think being a masculine looking woman has more factors than simply height. Height can be a factor, but not the ultimate factor. Build also has to do with it. Some women have a small, "delicate" frame whereas others are built more wide and stocky, regardless of height. Facial features also come into play, some women have naturally more feminine looking facial features than others.
I have a friend who is 5'9 and she has a very tiny frame. She doesn't look masculine in the slightest. Some guys are still intimidated by her height itself, though. It really doesn't matter, though, as not all guys feel that way, everybody has their own preferences, so even if some guys may not like you because of your height, others won't care.
Meaning what they only want women they feel they csn beat up lol
Why is there idea of a woman someone who Id not intimidating... People are intimidating when you like them so what. Thise guys are just looking for cheap short cuts to feel in control in love.
Well I am tall but thank god I've never been told I am masculine looking. I've pretty well in the dating department all my life so it's safe to say that no, they are not all masculine looking. I've seen shorties that look butchy and burly as well.
Your guy friends are dumb and immature, or even worse: insecure about their own masculinity. And no, masculinity and femininity have nothing to do with height, as those guys who want a submissive-looking, shorter girl will likely want them to look even shorter and younger. It's just a widely spread cultural issue, but let's hope it's going to die out on its own sooner.
In the mean time, go do some modelling or take a sexy selfie and think how many midget-looking girls dream about being an inch taller.
Moreover, you need not wear stilts or even heels, which would translate into healthier footwear choices for you and better long term comfort overall.

Uh, the 5'9"-5'11" waitresses I work with don't look masculine at all, quite the opposite. Because they're so tall, they have bigger than average boobs and butts, so their figures are about as feminie as it gets. That's why tall girls are usually models.
Not unless you ACT masculine. Example: Michelle Rodriguez. I don't know her height, but she has a gorgeous face. BUT... she acts more masculine than feminine. There are feminine men and masculine women. Sh*t happens!
I know that my opinion probably doesn't count because I'm a woman, but I think it depends on their features and their behavior, not on their height.
