How to drop hints to a shy girl?

So I met this girl about 3 weeks ago. I really like her, and we are becoming closer and more comfortable around each other each time we see each other. I want to really start dropping hints to her, but I'm not sure how. I've never had a girlfriend, so I have little to no experience in this type of thing.

The other problem with this situation is that she is naturally shy and not used to flirting either. She has never had a boyfriend. She is the type of girl that likes her personal space with people she doesn't know a whole lot. Things that are super obviously flirting would just intimidate or scare her. That's what I'm trying to avoid. That being said, she has definitely become more comfortable around me. We laugh and joke whenever we see each other. We also bond a lot over music and movies/tv shows. So I think I can start dropping subtle hints without scaring her. But nothing too much.

So what do I do?

About a week ago we were hanging out and she was laughing really hard at something, so much that she was crouching down. I put my hand on her shoulder and said something like, "Keep it together! Compose yourself!" Just jokingly. As soon as I touched her, she shot right up but kept laughing a little bit. Not gonna lie, it was a bit awkward. Not sure if she was nervous/excited that I touched her or uncomfortable because she didn't like that.

Since then, she has become more comfortable around me
