My girlfriend is overly affectionate and doesn't understand Personal space?

she's always touching me in some way or another. It's not necessarily sexual. She seems to want to walk together holding hands or my bicep/elbow. Which is fine when it's moderate.
I just keep thinking in my head fuck off but if I bring it up it will make things weird. I think she's territorial but at the same time tries to 'show' everyone where cute or some shit.

Another thing is she doesn't take into account the environment. If I'm with my friends she will come over and sit on my lap. But why? If there's other seats. It's gotten to the point where my mates have noticed and they start laughing when she's walking towards us.
I know this sounds like I dislike her but I don't where 2 months in and first yr of uni.
I have a problem because I don't want to reject her excessive affection in front of others.
Is there a nice way of getting the message across?

If I were this girl, the best way I would take it would be if you sat down with me, held my hand ( yes, coming from you this time) and told me pretty much the same as what you wrote here...
Leave out the f off, and also fact that your friends are laughing about her.
She sounds a little insecure so you need to make sure she feels your affection and attraction towards her. Tell her your crazy about her and be really touchy feely yourself in that instant. And then make it clear that you prefer to do exactly that only when you two are alone.
Then cross your fingers and hope for the best. ;-)

She is being all over you because she really likes you and this is her way of showing you and her friends. Most girls show how much they care about you infront of your friends so they know that you guys are serious. Tell you're friends to knock it off! You should not make her feel bad for wanting to always touch you or hold your hand. That's the things girls live for. You should be the one reaching out and asking her to come sit with you, or grab her hand in public, not walking infront of her. Do these things for her to show he that you care.

Just tell her that sometimes your mates make fun of you and you do't like it, I know thats not the main reason but you can say that for beginners and you can just tell her that she doesn't need to be ON you all the time.

I guess the reason why is because that's just in her personality. It's probably easier for her to show affection physically rather than in words. If you want to talk to her about it just tell her that she should think about holding back a bit on touching
