Why is she hesitant?

I really like this girl and she really likes me. I know she does because she told me and I her.

She is hesitant to get into anything with me because she is scared of my ex. My ex would bully her really. They were kind of friends but haven't spoken to each other in the last 4 months previous to that they hadn't spoke in 6 months. My ex and I have been split for the last 15mths.

There is nothing really stopping us getting together. I haven't pressured her into anything. I've said to let me know if she changed her mind and left it at that.
I have noticed that she is avoiding me. We used to talk a lot, not so much now. I've asked if she wanted to hang out together but now I get she is to busy. I just don't get it.

Any insight into what is going on with her?

Well I did the same thing actually and I know what my reason was and the reason is is I wasn't ready and that I was too scared of the boy. But then it went away when he told me in a note that he would always be there for me and that I wasn't alone. Maybe you should try this.

Well, if your ex and her were friends then it could be out of respect she's staying away from you.

They're not friends anymore. More just passing through kind of people. Because my ex bullied her. But she is scared that she may find out and cause her problems. She knows that I'll stand up to my ex if she does. She also knows that it is me that she wants to be with.

My ex has moved on. She is with someone else and I'm truly over the breakup. I've dated other women but, this particular girl and me really get on well and others have quipped what a great couple we make. Its like we had a relationship without the intimacy. I'd like to take the next step but she is hesitant and has pulled back to the point of not seeing me or hang out like we used to. On the odd occasion we were passing each other she is quick to get away. As I've said. I've not put any pressure on her at all. I know for certain that she isn't dating someone else. I just don't get it.

I'm almost certain that she's petrified, maybe she doesn't want that drama for you. I'm convinced that she's thinking about you, and figured you can do without that drama :(.
