Girl's Behavior

WHY IS SHE ALWAYS TEASING ME BUT DEFENDS ME?

She's not really the feminine, demure kind of girl. She's outspoken, can be brash at times, and is super tall (5'9 or 5'10) compared to the other girls at my high school. She's even taller than me! By like 5 inches (I'm 5'5-ish). Anyways, she's always finding ways to tease me, like when I trip or make a bad grade, but ends up defending me when others are picking on me. In gym class, she laughed when she held the ball high in the air and called me shortie, but if someone doesn't let me play, she's all like, "Hey, leave him alone! He ain't done nothing to you!" Strange. She says, "Ha! You clumsy!" when I fall but then offers to tie my shoes for me. Seriously, she bent down to tied my freaking shoes for me once! Sometimes, she pinches my cheeks and says, "You cute, you know that?" but then she retracts her comment with, "Psych, you wish!" When I look mad, she's like well you are cute, I was just playing. She also said that she cares for me because I'm "nice and shy," but she's the total opposite. She gets suspended a lot and is disrespectful to the teachers. Even some of the boys are intimidated. Although she always seems to look mean or cold, every time that she notices me, she smiles and waves. I feel kinda special since I've literally never seen her genuinely smile at anyone before except me. She likes to call or text me when she knows I'm sleeping, which is very frustrating, at about 2 in the morning. She doesn't act like this with the other boys. She fights with them and curses a lot but never with me. She teases me for sure yet isn't mean or violent. Acts more "mature" around me. She's dated before but has been single for a long time now. I think she's pretty. I like girls with long legs. I've known her for years now. She's a nice girl deep down. :)
