We give men crap for fat shaming women, but there are just as many women who do the same thing. Why do you think women fat shame other women? What are the motives behind this?

Is it just me, or do those thighs look absolutely good enough to eat? So long as she's not morbidly obese that is, with a myriad of health problems, then I see no reason at all to loathe over a jealous stranger. Furthermore, phat curvaciousness is undoubtedly sexy, cellulite or not.

Honestly I don't think people should hate fat people but i do believe that the fat lifestyle should not be praised by the media because it is unhealthy and not a good example on how to live. Also women should not complain if men find their unhealthy habits unattractive.

Cause all chicks deep down are snakes out to get one another, i mean put them all in a room and it would be chaos, there was an experiment where they placed like 10 or so elementary school girls in a house for a week without parental involvement and the amount of bullying and emotional damage inflicted by each and every one of the girls was horrible

It’s been a well known fact that being a slimmer women, with the perfect slender toned body has been the most attractive sort of female for many years. So I suppose those type of women find it easy to throw such harsh insults to larger women, since in the public eye they’re known as morally acceptable. Some people just stand in their own shoes and don’t look beyond that, and think saying the things they say will easily past. Sadly this isn’t the truth, they stick and hurt. Some women are just cruel and fat shame because they can. The world is full of negative people, be comfortable in your skin people!!

First define fat shaming. I’ve met some fat girls who called out their doctor for recommending them to lose weight. They said that their doctor was fat shaming them. They also felt fat shamed when a fit girl talked about exercise or ate healthy in front of them. Apparently it reminded them of dieting. So the fit girl started distancing herself. Then the fat girls called out discrimination.

I think it has to do with the cultural view that women's physical appearance is a significant part of their self worth as a Human being. And also, men are generally expected to be able to put up with negative comments and not have feelings.

Could be for multiple reasons. One is that that's how their mother taught them, because she fat-shamed her. Another is because a bully was fat at school, one more could be wishing she could get like that and feel completely fine... because people hide their grief so often.
It all stems however from feelings of inadequacy.

Honestly I think we have such high expectations of how we should look, that when we can't achieve that we look for a way to make ourselves feel better about it. Don't get me wrong, fat shaming is very very wrong but I think that we're in the mindset where we think "oh well at least I don't look like that" when in reality there's nothing wrong with "looking like that" it's just our negative way of feeding our own ego.
