Interesting. When did you switch from TP to baby wipes, and why? Can the baby wipes be reused?

I use an awful lot to make sure that I am clean and dry with 3-4 squares. It’s depends on if I’m on my period or not. 🙈😬🙊

I’m male and am curious. This stuff isn’t generally discussed, so the only way to learn is to ask. If you don’t want to share, that’s up to you.

The way to learn is by googling it, but you ask for such specific details that it is clearly more than just a "curiosity"

I have noticed that I actually use a lot of tp even when I’m just peeing. I just like to make sure that I stay clean. I’d say I probably use 5 squares or so sometimes more.

If you have a bidet you will use far less TP than a girl would ordinarily use. After use of the bidet you only need a towel to dry off as you as clean as you would be if you took a shower. I mean I was not fretting during the TP shortage. The only question would be is water cheaper than toilet paper?

No. More like feeling it’s still wet down there. In my country, we have bidet system. So it’ll be wet down there. I use the TP to wipe out the excess water.
If no TP, then I’m gonna use my hand to lessen the water.

Water washes away whatever’s left. I do wriggle around so the jet sprays everywhere it’s needed and will sometimes blot myself dry, or let it air dry. I feel fully clean after doing 1 or 2.

At home, the spout is fixed, so I have to rock my hips back and forth, side to side, to cover all the necessary bits. I have a bottle with a sprayer wand that I'll use at work/school or traveling. The force all depends on how far I open the valve or squeeze the bottle.

I don't know I usually use some to clean the toilet seat and sometimes to layer it. Then I don’t want to get my hand dirty so I use a lot for that. Back when I lived alone I’d spend like £5 a week on toilet paper. I guess it is a problem but like I don't know how to use less of it? Lol.

Hold on for a moment. Are you not aware that by using TP to "wipe" the toilet seat, you're SPREADING organisms around and making it less hygienic? Further, the buttocks are quite "clean" compared with many areas of the body.

I usually use wet wipes first and then I use toilet paper to either wipe or layer the seat. I know, I didn’t say what I did wasn’t stupid. It is just a habit at this point, I guess. I also think it is gross to sit where someone else’s bare ass sat, even though it might be more hygienic than shaking hands.

Your hands have so much more bacteria on them than your buttocks. As a result, toilet seats also don’t have much bacteria on them (the sink and door handles typically have the most bacteria in the bathroom).

Well if I used none at all then I would get drops of urine on my underwear or pants obviously, which would feel uncomfortable. 1 wouldn't do a Justice either, neither would 2. I need at least 3 after plainly peeing. I need 4 on period days and 3 after Just peeing. That's my final answer.

From what I hear, they’re quite sanitary (especially if someone poops), and there are types of these toilets that can use air to dry someone afterward. I wouldn’t know what they’re like as a female though.

When you say that you’re OCD about it, what do you actually experience? Do you feel unclean/still wet after wiping? Do you wipe a certain number of times (or repeat wiping a number of times)? What do you experience, and how does it affect you/make you feel? How would you feel if you were stuck only being able to use a certain number of squares of TP that was less than what would be normal/comfortable for you? Lastly, do you ever get raw from wiping?

One, I never get raw. Two wipe twice then new TP wipe twice again then Wet Wipe then wipe twice with TP then twice again with new TP and once more with Wet Wipe then twice again with TP and one more time with new TP twice to be certain I'm dry. I'm sure you can see even numbers is key here. Twenty Squares TP each time I wipe.

I appreciate the clarification. Although I know that girls wipe after peeing, it’s fascinating to learn what you actually do. Why 2 wipes/TP used? Also, for each set of wiping twice x2 (then wet wipes), which specific areas are you wiping/covering? Is it that you wipe a specific area for each set (wiping different areas for each set), or are you wiping any/all areas that you plan to wipe (during each set) and repeat the same process multiple times? Why the use of wet wipes, and what do they do/how do they feel different from using TP? How long have you relied upon this specific routine for wiping, and has anything led to the formation of this routine? What do you do if: 1) You lose count while wiping (and do you have to think about what you’re doing and/or count while wiping)? 2) There’s not enough TP/wet wipes or you run out? 3) You still feel wet/dirty/unclean/etc. after using 20 squares of TP? Have you ever tried using less/changing your routine, and how did/would it make you feel (and why)?

How do you prevent yourself from becoming irritated/raw?

Tge TP routine since I can remember. Wet Wipes came into play about 8 years ago when I had Anal Fissures. I always carry Wet Wipes with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E and Puffs Tissue with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E so that stop me from getting mecraw I think plus I have the natural lube. I've tried cutting back felt like I was filthy got a UTI shortly after logically I know there's no correlation but my OCD tells me see we cut back and look what happened. It doesn't take me longer tgan any other female in the rest room I'm still faster than all the rest of them in and out I do this whole process in less tgan two minutes tgen two minutes washing my hands.

This is quite interesting. There are things I’m curious to ask that might not be best for a public forum, so please PM me so I can ask further.

I’m unsure as to whether you only wipe a specific area with each set or if you wipe everywhere you intend to wipe during each set?

How has the routine changed at all other than the addition of wet wipes?

Do you have a similar routine when wiping your anus? Anal fissures are no laughing matter, so I feel for you. I generally recommend increased hydration, dietary/lifestyle modifications, use of a stool softener (typically Docusate Sodium), and products such as Anusol (best as a prescription with hydrocortisone included, but not always easy to get someone’s insurance to cover it).

You have a jacuzzi in the bathroom? Nice! Why don’t you pee in the shower? Most people (guys and girls) do it, and it’s silly to use a toilet separately and then go shower (rather than just pee in the shower). Give it a shot and see how it goes.

Keep something in mind. There’s a wide knowledge gap given that I’m male and not female. I don’t really understand what’s normally involved when a girl sits and urinates (let alone tries it while standing), so how can one control where pee goes? Also, why would pee NOT go where you planned?

Oh right. Sorry. Basically, at least for me, peeing strong (hard), the urine will mostly be straight and not go all wild. Peeing softly, there's potential for it go everywhere. However, all of this depends how a woman pee (sitting like normal or booting down). Not all women pee sitting because the toilet is probably disgusting and we can't just stand up like a guy (which sucks).

      I hope that makes sense

Toilet seats are much cleaner (have far less bacteria) than all the knobs/handles/sinks/etc. in the bathroom that are loaded with bacteria.

5 Squares. I use a good bit because I like to make sure that it's as clean as possible because women are more vulnerable to getting kidney infections after sex or other kind of infections so its important for us to make sure that it's super clean at the front and back. Not only that but I think us ladies can be very self conscious when it comes to down there and how clean it is :) we hate the thought of missing a bit or feeling in any way unclean

Interesting. I hadn't really considered the potential self-conscious aspect. For us, it's quite easy to shake our penises using centripetal force to get rid of excess urine so wiping isn't something we typically consider. How much would you use if NOT around your time of the month, though?

Well the quality in the U. S isn't that high but Quilted Northern Ultra Plus or Charmin Ultra Soft. I just use as much as I want. Thanks for the question because I just found out they both have online coupons. I will save on cheap paper towels and I clean with vinegar/water or hydrogen peroxide so I can spare some money for the good toilet paper and Kleenex/Puffs.

I appreciate your perspective, as I hadn’t considered such things, and a difficulty I have is that I don’t have the same anatomy to know how different brands would feel. Given your anatomy, is the sensation/roughness much more easily discernible? Glad that you were able to potentially save a little money in the future.
